The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) will issue a detailed Notification regarding the seat allotment Process 2007. This can be expected shortly. The detailed schedule of the activities related to the ‘online’ Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) will also be announced by the CEE. Registration of options will commence on the date notified. So you will have to wait till the website for registering options is activated. The website where options are to be registered is likely to be www.cee.kerala.gov.in (as given in the Prospectus for admission to Professional Degree Courses, 2007).
Please confirm the site address when the Notification is published. You have to visit this site using any computer having internet facility and log in to your ‘Home Page’ for registering options. (Home page of a candidate is a personalized page that can be viewed only by the particular candidate and will contain the options etc given by the candidate.) For this you must have with you, your Roll No, Application Number and the ‘Key Number’.
Once you enter these, you will have to give a password. This is a secret code which you will have to create in order to secure the data that you give in your home page. The code can consist of a maximum of 15 characters which can be either numbers or alphabets or mixture of both. Remember that the characters you use in a password are case sensitive. ‘A’ and ‘a’ are treated as different characters. It is better to write the password you are going to give for registration of options, on a piece of paper initially which can be torn off once it is familiar to you. Once the password is entered in the appropriate place, you will have to give it again in the next blank space, to confirm it. Once the system accepts this, you will enter your home page.
From then onwards, every time you try to enter your home page, you will have to give your password. Once you are in position to remember the password, ensure that it is not kept written anywhere. Do not share your identification data to anyone else.It is in the Home Page that you will have to register options. If you are included only in the Engineering Rank list, all the Course-College combinations to which you are eligible to exercise options will be displayed on your home page in terms of the course code (two Letter) and College Code (3 letter). This will be generally branch-wise. ie., all colleges having a particular branch (Say Electronics and Communication Engineering or EC) will be listed together.
By the time you are to register your options, it is expected that you have fixed your priority for courses and colleges. Based on your priority, you will have to enter the numbers starting from 1 and continuing with 2, 3 etc. against the options which are your first, second, third etc priority. For example, if your top priority is for the EC course at TVE (
College of
Engineering Trivandrum ), you should give the number 1 in the blank box against the combination EC TVE and so on. After entering each priority number, see that the data is saved by clicking on the ‘Save’ button on the page. If you are included in different Rank Lists, all the options available in those streams will be displayed.
Here you will have to give your priority by considering all the options together. That is the relative priority of options in different streams will have to be considered. The numbers have to be given continuously starting from 1. Once all the desired options have been entered and saved, take a print out of the option list to ensure that what was desired has been registered. The process of registration of options is complete. If it is OK, log out of the system. The options given by you can be altered any number of times during the period allowed for registering options. The options in your home page at the time of closing of registration of options alone will be considered. Anyhow watch out for the Notification by the CEE.
