If you want to take admission in India the last date to apply is November 30. You will have to write the entrance test. The test will be on second or third Sunday of February. Admission will be in March . You can download the application form from www.ignou.ac.in . Ignou's Kerala regional office is located at Kaloor, Kochi. Since you are working in Gulf you can take admission through Ignou's partner institutions, the addresses of which are available in their site. But the fee to be paid will be at international rates. OK ? Visit us again. Wish you all the best.

My daughter has got selection for MBBS in the All India quota in a college in Tamilnadu under MGR Medical University. On enquiry in the college office over phone, they told to take admission. But in the website of the university,it is clearly mentoned that a student must get eligibility certiifcate from the university before admission.
Should we take admission first and apply for the eligiblity or we should get first the eligibility certificate from the university?

No doubt, go to the college and get the eligibility certificate first and then proceed to the college for joining. You have not mentioned where did your daughter study . In Kerala for CBSE students there is no need of producing eligibility certificate. How many days are left for joining ? If only one or two days are left don't go for any risk. Straight away go to the Medical College and join and request for one or two days' time for producing the certificate. Otherwise do the first step mentioned above. Normally the eligibility certificate will be issued on the same day of request. Go ahead. Wish you all the best.
SIR,
Thanks for my earlier question's reply. Sir, I have heard that in Kerala only software companies come for campus interviews, and recruit as software professionals. Is it true? Don't they recruit us on the basis of our degree, even if I do Mech. Will they recruit as software professional and not as a Mech.degree holder?

The majority of companies coming to Kerala for campus recruitment are software based. Very rarely employers like L&T, Kirloskar etc come for mechanical engineers. The main thing to note is that companies who come to recruit software people do not stick on IT or ECE . They are of the view that the first year syllabus of BTech is common and it covers 'C' language and that is enough for them. The rest will be taught by them as per their requirement. They give thrust on the command over English language. But when L&T and Kirloskar come they focuss on mechanical engineers. Don't be panic. Have confidence and that will lead you to success.

At present the situation is more complicated than previous years so that a prediction or calculation is not so easy. Give options and wait till first trial allotment. Since there are two trial allotments this time the picture will be clear then.
