My rank is 5823. Is there any chance of getting mech.engg in model or sct in management quota. No reservatioins.

There is no ME course in Model Engineering College, Ernakulam. In SCT, a candidate with Rank 6482 has got trial allotment in ME course under Management quota. So there is a high chance for you also in Management quota if you have given option under this quota to this course in SCT.
Sir,
My rank is 7097 in engg.I have no reservation. Will I get admission in
MNR,ADR or KGR(Govt.seat) for B.Tech Computer science & engg. If not , which is the best college I can apply for this course?

The last candidates in trial allotment to MNR, ADR and KGR in Computer Science under Govt quota have ranks 7018, 4775 and 6055 respectively. So there is a good chance for you to get an allotment in MNR and to a certain extent in KGR for this course if not in the first or second round, in the subsequent rounds. So register options to this course in these colleges. A glance through the last ranks will give some indications of the preferences of candidates.

The last rank details of candidates who got trial allotment are available in this website. If your rank is within the last ranks of the trial allotment in any course/college, you have a chance to get that allotment provided you have registered your option to that course/college. Candidates with this Engg rank have got allotments to Private Self-financing Colleges in the trial allotment. The chances for allotment to Government Colleges seem to be remote.

It stood for Economically Backward categories in the forward communities. This category is not there in the revised process.
My daughter's rank is 13004 for engineering entrance. Her name is not included (number) in the trial allotment. We registered in time. Would like to know the chances of getting a seat under merit quota.

The reason for not getting a trial allotment can be examined only if the options registered by the candidate are known. Your chance for an allotment depends on the options you have registered. Candidates with rank lower than the rank of a candidate can get an allotment if the former has registered an option which the latter has not registered and the former becomes eligible for it as per the allotment principles.

MBBS/BDS option registration has been restricted to those who satisfy the Medical/Dental council stipulations regarding the minimum marks in Medical Entrance Examination (50% for General candidates and 40% for SEBC/SC/ST). The rank limit satisfying this criterion is 3227 for General candidates and 5668 for SEBC/SC/ST, as per KEAM 2007. Your rank being 7215, it is to be presumed that you have not got 50% if a General candidate or 40% if a candidate of SEBC/SC/ST category for Medical Entrance 2007 and hence have not become qualified to register MBBS/BDS options.
I had given options during first allotment and paid Rs.50,000 for manegemnt seat in uce college Thodupuzha. However I have changed my decision and would like to have the paid amount returned.I dont want to give any options presently. What shall I do?

You need not register options this time if you are not interested. The amount remitted by you to the account of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be refunded by his office directly to you after the closing of admission for this year.
Sir,
In the option registration list we can see that MBBS/BDS eligibility : rank limit for SC/ST/SEBC candidate is 5668. What is its meaning? Pl. give me a detailed answer.

According to rules only those candidates from SC/ST/SEBC who get atleast 40% marks of the aggregate in the Entrance examinations are eligible to apply for MBBS/BDS. In the case of general category this is 50%. Medical Council of India also proposes this. In the 2007 Kerala Medical Entrance examintion 5668 may be the last rank who got 40%. Clear ?
Mechanical Engg has any scope in future ? or IT better than Mechanical ?

Mechanical and civil engineering have enough scope anytime just like electronics. Can you think of an era without constructions or machines , Fasal ? But in the case of IT the scene is changing rapidly and the IT man also has to make himself uptodate.
