All students in the rank lists have not got allotments in the first round. Even candidates, who have got allotment, may not have got their first or preferred options. Vacancies arising after the first allotment will be filled up based on the options remaining as on 13th September in the Home page of candidates.

A total of 14299 seats in the Engineering stream were allotted by the Entrance Commissioner in the first round. This includes the Management seats in Government Supported Self-financing Colleges which may be around 1500. Management seats in Private Self-financing Colleges do not come under the purview of the allotment by CEE.

Allotments based on options are done considering the rank, reservation benefits and availability of seats. First allotment for Engineering was done considering all the seats available at that time for allotment by the CEE.

If you go through the last rank details and study that, you can re-assess your chances of getting allotment to your higher options. If your preferences have changed after the closing date of registration of options, then the re-arranging of options as well as deleting of unwanted options will certainly help you to get an allotment of your liking. The closer your rank is to the last rank in the first allotment of an option in your higher option list, greater is your chance to get that option in the second allotment.

You need not be worried about the vacancies arising. You are exercising your willingness to be considered for a course in a College, if you become eligible for it as per rules. Only if vacancy exists and you become eligible to be allotted that seat, you will be given the allotment.

Chances of allotment to Government/Aided/Govt supported self- financing Colleges in and around Trivandrum in State Merit under Government quota seems to be remote.
It seems you have not received an allotment in the first round even in Private Self-financing Colleges. But there are candidates below your rank who have got allotment for some courses in a college in Trivandrum district (ex: EE in MMO). You might not have opted for this branch in this college. Since you have not specified the course or college to which you have opted, you may examine your chances by going through the last rank details available in this site.
Can we add options for the second allotment in the online counselling for admission of professional degree courses ?

Options that were available for registration till 5 pm on 30th August and not registered then, cannot be included now. However, if new courses/colleges are included (that were not available in the first round) in the allotment process, all candidates in the rank lists will have the facility to register those options. Wait for the announcements on these by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
What are the necessary documents to be produced for engineering admission? Is medical certificate essential ?

Please refer to Clause 11.7.1 of the Prospectus for Admission to Professional Degree Courses, Kerala, 2007. A Medical Certificate as given in Annexure XVII(b) of the Prospectus 2007 is also included in the list of documents to be produced at the time of taking admission.
My KEAM rank is 3967.I have got allotment for BSc Fisheries in the first allotment.Is there any possibility for getting allotment(re allotment) for BAMS self financing at SNV PUTHOOR . As per the first allotment the last rank there is 3630. Or is there any chance in BSc nursing at TRN(GOV) .The last rank there is 3835.Please reply Sir.

You have better chance for BSc Nursing in TRN than BAMS in SNA. Also remember that allotment to BAMS is based on the Ayurveda rank. The last rank 3630 at SNA is the Ayurveda rank and not the medical rank. You must remit fee for BSc Fisheries and join the College, to keep your chances alive for movement to higher options.
Sir, I had got 1st allotment in homoeo in govt seat under sports quota, and I would like to get for ayurveda more than homoeo. If I pay fees and take addmission in homoeo on given date, can I participate in 2nd allotmnt,and if i don't get a seat in ayurveda will my seat in homoeo college will be there for me ? Will homoeo seat will be lost?

You have to join the BHMS course allotted to you after remitting the fee as per the schedule announced. Only then, you will be considered for the second round of allotment. If you do not get a change to Ayurveda in the second round you can continue your BHMS course you have joined as per the first allotment. But if you get BAMS course in the second allotment, you cannot retain your BHMS allotment any more.
I have remitted the fees at canara bank at the earlier allotment.There is nothing more to pay.Do I need to go to canara bank and show the receipt at the bank before joining the college?

You need not go to Canara Bank now. The receipt received earlier can be shown in the college allotted at the time of joining.
Sir,
My daughter got 2260 rank in KEAM 2007exam. She wanted to join for BVSc.Is there any chance for her to get an admission fot BVSc in the second allotment?

She has her first two opttions for BVSc in Trichur and Wynad respectively and third option was Fisheries. She got allotment for BFSc and remitted the fee. She doesnot want to study for BFSc. If she doesnot get a higher option that is BVSc will she be forced to continue in BFSc? What about the fees remitted?( While we remitted the fee during the allotment in July we had the impression that unless we go for an option that was likely to be alloted we could not get into the stream of allotment.)
Please guide accordingly. She is so particular about BVSc.

The last rank under State Merit allotted for BVSc & AH is 1982. Your daughter’s rank is 2260. There are so many factors that decide your daughter’s chances for a move to BVSc & AH in the second allotment. The options of other candidates having ranks above you, is an important factor. The number of non-joining cases among those allotted is another factor. So you have to wait and see.

If your daughter does not get BVSc & AH in the second round, you will have to continue with the B.FSc course unless you cancel your daughter’s admission within the stipulated time which is likely to be announced by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations after the second allotment. If admission is cancelled within the stipulated time, the fee remitted will be refunded, interest free.
