Might be a bit difficult going by the last ranks of 2006. But then you have got an allotment in one of the most demanded colleges in the state and that too for EC.
Kindly guide me to find out my daughter's eligibility in Minority quota. When will the allotment be done? Will the candidate be intimated by CEE or should the student follow by site guide lines?

The list available in the website of the CEE gives the Roll number of the candidate and the minority community, the candidate is included. For Muslim Minority, the code used is MM. You can check whether the Roll No of your daughter appears in the list and that the community shown against that number is MM.

As per the announcement of the CEE, the allotment to the minority seats will be done in the next round and the allotment results will be available in the Home-page of the candidate as in the first round.
I am having rank 21002.Will I get admission in any college for the branches EE or ME.

The last candidate allotted EE under State Merit in Private Self-financing Colleges has rank 20712. For ME, it is 21032 (SHM). So candidates below your rank have already got an allotment in ME in some college. Your chance for an allotment depends on the options you have given. Please refer to the last ranks in colleges you have given option for these two branches. Candidates with ranks in the range of yours, have good chance to get EE in the next round in some college. But the chance of your allotment depends on your options.
I got alotted to a private Engg college and I have paid my fees in Canara bank. As I am not fully confident about the college, I would not like to join. If so,
1. Will I get my Fees (38,700) back ?
2. What are the steps I should take to get the money back ?
3. How long it will take ?
4. Is there any formal needs, like having a bank account for this process ?

Will there be a change of say 2000-3000 ranks in Engineering stream during second alotment (My rank is 15700). ?

You will get back the fee remitted, after the closing of admissions for 2007-08. The amount will be returned to you by way of DD, by the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. You are not required to give any seperate request for that. It may take two to three months. A bank account may be required to cash the amount as DD will be in the name of the candidate.

There can be changes in this range in the lower ranks.

Under State Merit, the last rank allotted in the first round in PAA for EC is 9098

There have been rumours about the commencement of classes.It has been heard that the classes will begin only after the second phase of allotment as it causes a lot difficulties for students to move around,shifting their colleges as the second allotment is only 5 days away from the date now fixed commencement of classes.Is there any truth in that? When do the classes really start?

As per the announcment made by the CEE, classes for all courses are to commence on 13th September. There is no official annoumcement on change of date in this regard. Any way you will be in the college for taking admission. See what the college authorities say.

Approach the University in Kerala to which the college you are allotted is affiliated for getting the details of the eligibility certificate.

Admission fee and Univeristy fee as applicable. You may also have to make some remittances to the Parent Teacher Association.
Can you kindly give your guidance on OBC category (Muslim) 20% Govt quota share granted to MES, how it will be allocated, on what merit and what crieteria.

It will be allotted by CEE based on the eligibility of candidates belonging to the Muslim community. Certificate from the Village officer showing the community to whcih you belong was necessary. There was no income restriction. The date for submission of these certifcates is over.

See whether your name is included in the list of candidates eligible for this benefit. The list is available in the site www.cee-kerala.org
I saw in a notification of CEE that students who have paid fees and joined the college who would like to cancel their admission should download the application form which will be available from 12th onwards and submit it to CEE before 15th along with the reccomentation letter from Principal of the institution. I would like to know whether I can submit the cancellation letter before the CEE officer through the internet or sent it by Speed post or should I go to the CEEee office in Trivandrum to submit it?

As per the Notification available in the link, http://www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2007/allot/allot_n_e.pdf you have to take it to take the cancellation request to the office of the CEE on or before 15th September and get the admission cancelled. So you have to go to Trivandrum for this. This might be insisted so as to consider such vacanaies also in the allotment of 18th September.
