NET is mandatory for appointment to teaching posts under Kerala Universitiy. Equivalency Certificate is required when a candidate joins a course in a Universtiy based on the qualification aquired from another University. When you apply for a post, you can include the details of the M.Phil Degree you have obtained.

The Prospectus for 2008 has not come out so far. So the rules applicable for 2008 are not yet known. However, as per the rules of 2007admission, your child will not be eligible for reservation under Muslim category under SEBC category since this reservation is admissible only to those category candidates whose annual family income does not exceed Rs.2,50,000. But for the seats reserved for minority communities in colleges under this category, income was not considered. To become eligible for such seats, candidates had to submit the community certificate from the revenue authorities of the state.

Both BS and B.Sc are Bachelors Programme. Some Universities term it B.S while others term it B.Sc. In the Nautical Science programme, students learn offshore sailing theory and techniques, navigation and basic oceanography which are relevant to seamanship. An experience based approach is followed for the programmes. Passing a course approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, makes them eligible for a career in mercantile marine which is shipping for commercial purposes. .

The total number of seats in the two colleges at Mannuthy and Pookode is 120. Of this 17 seats are All India Quota seats. The number of seats available for allotment through KEAM is around 103.

Application for Degree Certificate can be submitted to the Universtiy in the prescribed form any time after the result of the examination taken is announced. Normal fee, as prescribed by the Universtiy has to be remitted along wiuth the application if applied within  1 year of publication of result. As per the rules relating to the examinations of CBSE, a candidate who has passed an examination of the Board may reappear for improvement of performance in one or more subject(s) in the main examination in the succeeding year, as a private candidate. In no case, a candidate shall be allowed more than one chance for improvement of his/her performance. So please contact the school where you completed the course or the Rgional Office of CBSE  to know more about this.

As per this, the last candidate allotted a seat in Govt/Aided Training Colleges for Physical Science is 451. The second allotment will be announced on 21.11.2007. Your chances for an allotment in this category of colleges depend on the number of candidates who have not joined as per the first allotment.  During 2006, canddiates having this rank, have got allotment in Aided Colelges in the second round. So wait and see.
