My daughter got admission for the MBA course of MG University(SMS) in the University campus on general merit basis.After 3 weeks of study she left SMS with TC to join CUSAT for their MBA program.MG University filled up the vacancy by admitting another student from the waiting list.
1.Is my daughter eligible for the refund of fees from MGU?
2.If yes, what is the procedure to be followed?
A request for refund of fees was sent to the Registrar with copies to the Finance officer and Director SMS,and there was no response from any of them.

The eligibility for refund of fee on discontinuing a course depends mainly on the Prospectus conditions on the matter. You may examine the Prospectus and see if there is any clause regarding refund of fee on discontinuing a course. Since the vacany caused by your dicontinuance has been filled up, the Universtiy does not stand to lose the fee for a seat. Anyhow verify the Prospectus conditions. If you do not get a reply within a reasonable time, send a reminder and subsequently, if there is no response, you may take up the matter with the higher authorities in the Universtiy.
This is for my daughter who is presently studying in Kerala.
After BSc Biotechnology which can select? MSc Biotechnology or M Tech? What is the system of admission to a college in Kerala, fees, etc. will u pl guide/inform me

Calicut University, Cochin University , MG University and Kerala University offers MSc Bio Technology course. There are a number of affiliated Colleges in Kerala offering this course. Mar Thoma College of Science and Technology, Ayoor under Kerala University offers this course. You will have to watch out for the announcements regarding the admissions. Now , your first question is whether your son can participate in the Medical as well as Engg. entrance examinations. If your son has taken biology plus maths combination for his plus two the answer is yes. otherwise no. For All India Engineering entrance and Medical Entrance there are centres in Kerala. You will get all these details from portal's News link. Selection of branches is always after publication of results. Now your three questions are answered. OK ? Still any more doubt ?
Please tell me about the procedure of admission in film institutes. And what are the preparations for its entrance exam ?

I find this website very useful and freindly. I would like to know if there is any seperate entrance test being conducted for admission under MANAGEMENT QUOTA FOR MEDICALEntrance by Self financing colleges and if so kindly give me the details, especially the dates and where the application forms are available etc.

Four Medical Colleges had conducted a seperate Entrance Test for selection of candidates to the seats in their colleges last year. No seat in these colleges were filled from the state rank list. Other Medical olleges had admitted candidates to 50% seats through the allotment of the Commissioner for Entrance Examiantion (CEE) and the Management quota seats in these colleges were filled from the State Medical Rank list by the managements. Regarding the procedure to be adopted next year, you have to wait for some more time. You may visit the sites www.cee-kerala.org (Of the CEE) and http://kpmcma.org/ (of the Kerala Private Medical College Managements Association) regularly to know the latest developments. A clear picture should emerge by May / June next year.

I am doing my degree under calicut university acadamic year 2003-2006. But unfortunately i cant complete my degree. I have still some back papers. In first year second language (Arabic). and final year (Business environment, Auditting). Is ther eany possible to attend the exam in KSA. presently i am in saudi arbia.

It is possible to attend the examination at KSA only if the Universtiy has a centre for the examination/subject you are looking for. Please contact the Examination wing of the Calicut Universtiy or some friends back home who can get these details for you.
I have completed my +2 before 2 years. Now I am doing a dgree course under Iete .But The course which I am doing is not giving me satisfaction. I am very much interested in Criminology. I wanted to take a degree on Criminology.If possile please let me know the details about the univercities and colleges which will provide the criminology courses.

MA/MSc in Criminology is offered at Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, Delhi. Visit http://www.nicfs.nic.in/TEACHING.htm Graduates are eligible. Department of Anthropology, Punjab Universtiy offers Diploma course in Foresnsic Science and Criminology. It is better to take a degree and go for PG in Criminology as Degree courses in this field are rare.
