Change of University is possible subject to vacancy and rules of the concerned University. But change of Branch is not possible.

I am a Diploma holder in Civil engineering. Would like to continue my studies through online courses or Distance learning program. Can you suggest some Diploma or Certificate courses for specialisation.

You can undergo courses of Indira Gandhi National Open University by distance mode. They offer B Tech Civil: Construction Management (BTCM) ,B Tech Civil: Construction Management (BTCM) , Advanced Diploma in Construction Management ,B Tech Civil: Water Resources , Engineering , Advanced Diploma in Water Resources Engineering (ADWRE) etc for Diploma holders. In Kerala Jounalism PG Degree courses are offered by Kerala, MG, Calicut and Kannur Universities. The course is not MA , but MCJ ( Master of Communications and Journalism ). Besides these, the Kerala Press Academy, Trivandrum Press Club, Calicut Press Club etc are running Diploma courses in Journalism. Bhavans School of Communications ( run by Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan) also offers a diploma course in Journalism. All these courses are recognised courses.
I have passed B.Sc-Maths in 2002 April. But I did not got English can I write September 2008?

You have not mentioned the University where you did the course. Normally there should not be any problem. But you may have to write as per the exisiting scheme which may be different from that of 2002. You may contact the academic section of the University concerned to get details.

Air travel and Tourism is one of the emerging areas of Hospitality management. Try to acqire MBA in Hospitality management. While recruiting the sales force, campus placement is the best option. They must be given adequate training to aquire required skills. Initially conduct a market survey based on the SWOT analysis and proceed.Efficieny of services will favour success of the organisation.
I refer to your answer to my previous query. Actually, I was enquiring for my daughter who is doing her 12th in Commerce. I would be grateful if you please suggest some other suitable course for her.

After plus two commerce she can go for BCom and simultaneously do ICWAI or CA or ACS which all are high professional courses. Or after BCom she can join MBA. While joining MBA try to be very selective in the case of electives. That is, mere marketing wont do. MBA with specialisation in HRD / Finance/ Insurance / Hospital Management or International Trade will have scope . Hotel Management also is a potential area. Try to understand the aptitude of your daughter during this vacation itself. Next year is very crucial , you know.
I am doing +2 now. After my +2, what should I do? Somebody is saying that I should do MBA and somebody CA. Will u help me? What are the other Degrees for me to study? Will it help me in my future?

You cannot go for MBA after Plus 2 without a Degree. So if you paln to do MBA, get a Degree first. If you have a taste for numbers and accounting, you can take up CA as a profession. To understand more about it, visit http://icai.org/icairoot/students/new_scheme/new_scheme_at_a_glance.pdf . Depending on the subjects you have taken at the Plus Two level, many options will be there for higher studies. You should visit this site to keep updated. You are the best judge to decide the course you must study after Plus Two. Make a self- assessment and arrive at a decision. Do not completely go by the words of others but consider their views also because you are the best judge of yourself.

No instructions are given in the website on getting a print out a second time. You may please contact the institute over the phone numbers given in the Brochure (0413-2272380 to 390)
Dear Sir,
This enquiry is for my sister who has discontinued her B.Sc Nursing course in Bangalore because of bad treatment towards her from the college management with regard to the fees. So I am really concerned about my sister's career. She has some interest in teaching,since she is working as a tutor in a similar college in Bangalore. She doest have a bachelor degree for applying for B.Ed course. But she can apply for TTC. I know that. But she wants to do B.Ed course within a span of 3 yrs because she is now 23. We are planning to get her married at the age of 26. So she has 3 yrs in hand. Within that 3yrs period, what she has to do? I need an answer from you. I would be highly obliged to you.

Dear friend, As it is, there is no possibility of taking a Degree and BEd within a period of three years. She can do degree with three years and BEd with the next one year. For the time being, do onething. Ask your sister to avoid the unnecessary ambitions and accept your advice of joining for TTC. Otherwise go for degree now and after completing it successfully with a time of three years get married. BEd may be taken after marriage. Tell her that marriage is not a hindrance for higher studies.
