If your child has a taste for Mathematics, she can choose Engineering stream. There is no question of opting for Medical stream having not studied Biology. Or else she can take up the Degree Course in Mathematics and go for higher studies and may join the teaching profession. Integrated M.Sc Programmesd are also available. Fashion technology is equally good if she is interested. Some courses at NIFT require study of Mathematics. A person good at drawing/Mathematics, can go for Architecture course or Design Courses. Accountancy is another area where a person good at Mathematics can try. The taste of the other child is not clear. What ever be the filoed you choose, the child should have some interest in that.
What is the criteria to apply for NIT Calicut under NRI quota? Is the student need be an NRI or the status of the parent good enough? What is the procedure?

Applicant has to be the son/daughter of Non Resident Indians for seeking admission under NRI category. Moreover, applicant should necessarily appear for the All India Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Notification for NRI Admissions will be issued by NIT Calicut seperately. You may visit the site http://www.nitc.ac.in for more details.
Will the govt. consider +2 marks for admission to professional courses this year? Is there any book published by the Govt. which contains 10,000 questions from which questions will come in the KEAM?

Ranking for admission to Professional Degree Courses, Kerala for 2008-09 admisisons will be solely based on the marks in the Entrance Examination. Goverment has not published any book containing question that will come for the Entrance Examination. But State Institute of Educational Technology has brought out CDs containing the question papers of the Entrance Examinations of previous years.
I read about the registration for scholarship in visual effects and animation from an institute called IMAGE. It was given that we are able 2 register online from mathrubhumi.com But I cannot find it in this site.

My sister got 93% marks in CBSE 10th exam. Now she completed +2 and awaiting for results.she took science stream to become a doctor. But now she lost her hope and wants to go for engg.course.If she takes maths subject and write next exam,will she be eligible for writing entrance for engg?

You will have to first ascertain from CBSE whether you will be able to write Mathematics after completing the Class XII in Science stream. If you pass Class XII with Mathematics and Physics and any one of Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Bio Technology, you are eligible for Engineering admissions subject to mark restrictions and rules of admission.

There is no official site for this. You may purchase books which contain questions of AIPMT Main Examination. Or aaproach anybody who did appear for last year's AIPMT Main.
