If you qualify the exam, you will be there in the rank list. Hence you can try atleast in Private self financing colleges.
My Son has applied for Annamalai University Self Financing MBBS entrance Test. But, till today he did not receive the Hall ticket and the examination date declared earlier was 05.05.2008. Kindly advise me whether the exam has been postponed or what is the status. Also, kindly let me know to whom I have to contact to know what is going on and what happened to my son's application.
Waiting for your reply by return.

As you have noted, Annamalai university's site does not contain any information regarding their entrance examination. There is no information about the postponement of the exam from 5th May.You may contact the Registrar or Controller of Exams in the telephone number appended. Tele : 91 - 4144 - 238248 / 263 / 796 . Fax : 91 - 4144 - 238080. Email : info@annamalaiuniversity.ac.in Pl. try. Now it is very late. Anyway try your best. By the by you can try to contact one of the study centres in Kerala , the names and addresses of which are given in the site www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in

Dear Sir
This is not a criticism! But I find a total contradiction in the answer given to my query earlier (ie in which I asked " whether my son scoring 695 in KEAM-2008 Medical will get an admission for MBBS in Govt. College?") and the answer given by you to the question posted by Sri. Biji B Pillai,Secunderabad on 29-Apr-2008. I hope you may further clarify upon the above matter.
Thank you
Gopi.

What do you mean by this condradiction ? In both cases the reply was almost the same, that there is a possiblity of getting into the merit list or in other words, getting admission in govt. college. This is only a general statement. A lot of factors influence the rank particularly the general performance of those who have appeared for the exam. In the reply to the person from Seconderabad, it was mentioned that " as per the informations available". Isn't it ? Your son too has a chance to get admission in govt.college. But cent per cent assurance is meaningless. OK ?
Sir, I've got 730 Marks in Kerala CEE 2008.Examination. What rank can I expect? Please reply to my email-id.

Daily a number of doubts are being recd here. Reply via email is not possible, for want of time. Since you have not mentioned your stream, the reply to this question is not possible, since there is a wide gap between the number of seats in Engg and Medical.

Civil, Mechanical and Electrical / Electronic branches are the core area in Engg. Hence it has / will have demand at any point of time. What is more important is not the branch, but your performance, especially in this competitive world.
A couple of weeks back it was said that previous years' medical entrance question paper is available on this portal. But I can't find it. Pls help.

sir, for aieee 2006 i saw that the last rank for kerala students in some northern NITs is in the range of 25000 - 30000 (general category). As I am expecting a rank in range of 15000-20000 will it be good if I apply for these NITs in the first round counselling or should I give preference to southern NITs ?

It all depends on your other preferences also. Facultywise, northern NITs are not bad. Many a times students opt NITs considering the local interests also. Last year, the least preferred NIT was that at Srinagar, the reason of which you can easily guess. OK? Wish you all the best.
Sorry for the error in my previous mail. What I mean was that AIPMT Preliminery rank list, the cut off mark has come down by nearly 100 marks between last year and now. Can we expect the same trend for the Kerala medical entrance also?. Also, what will be the minimum Rank expected for admission from the Govt: list as it was around 1250( marks around 650 ) for Kannur/Karuna medical colleges?. Kindly give your advice.

The list of last year's Last Ranks is given in this portal itself. Click here http://www.mb4education.com/static/downloads/LastRank2007.pdf Pl. note that comparison with last year may not be very useful, since this year's picture regarding private self financing colleges has not yet reached a clear shape.
