The state wide last rank under State merit for Mechanical in Government/Aided Engineering Colleges in 2007 was 5089. But in Government supported Self-financing colleges, it was 12882. Mechnaical Engineers can get jobs related to the Mechanical field as well as related to IT field. You can also appear for the Engineering Services Examination of the UPSC. You can take up teaching as a profession.

If the availability of seats under Government quota in Private Self-financing Colleges continue as in last year, you may get a seat in some Private Self- financing College. Fee structure is yet to be announced.
I secured 5700 rank in the eng. entrance.can i get EC in any of the govt collage.I wil come under SEBC reservation

AS per last year's trends, with SEBC reservation. you should be able to get EC in a Government/Aided College.
I got 1082 rank for engg.
Is there any possibility for getting Electronic Engineering in CET or TKM

Last rank under State Merit for EC at CET in 2007 was 239 while in TKM, it was, 688.
I got 16628 rank in kerala eng.I am preparing for cusat entrance. Is the cusat is better than the other colleges in kerala? Whether I get a seat in eng.college,I have no reservation.

With a Rank of 16628 in KEAM, you should be able to get a seat for Engineering in Kerala, but may not be in a Government/Aided College. CUSAT has its reputation while other enginering colleges in Kerala have their own reputation. Your possibility of admission in CUSAT Colleges will also depend on the rank you get for CAT. So try to secure a better rank at CAT.
How many seats are there for engineering courses in Cusat.Is it a good college?

My rank for KEAM engg. is 3272 AND HAS 82.4% for CBSE XII. I am in Muslim category. My preferred course is EC. Which are best 3 govt. colleges(in order, location in Kerala is not important) which I have a chance to get? Also I wanted to know the difference between purely govt. and aided govt. colleges. Which is best among them, which among I have a chance to get, difference in fee structure in these 2 types? Kindly answer all my questions as you can.

As a student, there is no difference between Government and Aided College, the Fee structure is identical in these two types of Colleges. As per the trends of 2007, with MU reservation, you have a chance to get admission for EC at Kannur, Palakkad, Idukki and Wayanad Engineering Colleges.

thank you for your kind replies. if my rank for aieee 2008 is between 20,001 and 25001 and state rank for aieee is between 501and 1000 , can you please tell me about the possibility of admission in NIT in merit basis?. i have no reservation.
