As per last ranks of 2007, you have chance to get an allotment under SM in a branch other than EC and CS , at TLY (EE/IT/ME). Last year, 50 % seats carried a fee of Rs.6200/-. The fee for this year is to be announced.
My daughter has a rank of 464 in KEAM 2008 Medical. I understand that there are 850 MBBS seats in Govt. colleges. But a lot of seats go in the way of AI quota, other reservations etc. So what is actual number of Govt. MBBS seats in Govt. Colleges? We belong to open merit (NO Reservation of any kind). Will the candidate will get a Govt. seat?

As per last rank of 2007, your child has a good chance to get admission for MBBS under State Merit in one of the Govt Medical Colleges. Although there are 850 seats in 5 Medical Colleges, CEE allots candidates to 694 seats only. Of this 3% seats are for PH category and about 26 under Special Reservation category. So the seats under Open catgory will be around 648 or 647. out of this 65% would be SM seats- around421. Anyhow, wait for the seat matrix of the CEE.
