what will be the procedure to get admission in TamilNadu Self Financing college.Is there any chance for keralite to get Admission in Govt Colleges.
Is same application for govt and self financing colleges.

The details can be obtained from the website www.tnhealth.org . As per their prospectus, to apply for Govt Medical Colleges in Tamilnadu, Tamil nativity certificate is compulsory.

In Kerala it is not yet decided. You will have to wait some more days.
My son got AIEEE rank 27427( AIR) and 1078 (State rank). Is there any scope to get an admission to any of NIT especially in EC, CS,ME, EE & AE.

The last rank in 2007 under SM in CMC Cochi where 50% seats were allotted with Govt fee was 685. Last year, Govt quota seats in SF colleges had a fee of Rs.130000-138000.
I have 7774 th rank in kerala entrance exam and only 86% mark in +2.And have no reservation also.so
please tell shall I get admition in any GOVERNMENT/AIDED college for EE/EC/ME/CS/CE.AND also about fee in government/aided colleges

Please visit http://www.mb4education.com/static/downloads/LastRank2007.pdf for assessing your chances. Fee in Govt/Aided Colleges was Rs.6200/- in 2007. The fee structure for 2008 has not been notified.
Please give preference of these engineering courses AE,CE,CS,EC,EE,EI,IT,ME according to their scope.

If you are asking the preference of students in general, EC, CS, AE, EE, ME, CE comes in that order in CET. In some other colleges AE is preferred to CS. Students show lower preference for EI and IT generally. It depends on the Colleges also. Regarding the scope, there is nothing to worry since all the branches can give you a good placement.
Dear sir,

It is unfortunate to see that after closing the admission process in other states we start the admission process in our Professional colleges. Most of the professional colleges outside collecting capitation fee and giving admission . Why can't our government decide a fixed date before july to complete the admission processs so that the millions of Rupees given outside by our kerala parents are saved or this is also another political gimmick to collect some commission in the middle by the politicians.
By the by I congratulate the people behind Mathrubumi edcational website as it gives a very valuable information all the time. I am a regular reader of your educational section especially the "Ask Experts". Your comments help a lot of people like me. Thanks a lot for the service.

What you have pointed out has been a matter for dicussion among academic community and students and parents in Kerala. The media also have written a lot about it. But in Kerala our fate is this. There is no proof to say that it is a political gimmick. But anyhow somebody is gaining by this uncertainity in professional college admissions.
