Since there is relaxation in marks for you based on the category to whcih you belong, you will be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses. It is not certain whether you will get a BDS allotment in the first round itself. But as per the data of 2007, you have a good chance to get BDS.

As the name indicates, Civil engg relates to the study of structures, constructions and related matters and Electrical Engg relates to the study of generation, distribution of electricity and related matters, in the broad sense. Both braches have scope for employment if you are employable.

You have a chance to get Civil in CET as per trends of 2007. The chance in CUSAT is not that high. Older the college, better is the college- this is an accepted norm. But decide on the college after looking into all aspects.

Mark in the qualifying examination is not a criterion for allotment. Only the rank in entrance would be considered. But minimum marks in the qualfying examination as per Prospectus is essential to get admission. This will be verified at the time of admission. You will not be admitted if you do not have minimum marks in the qualifying examination, even if you get an allotment.

The choice of the course depends on the taste of the candidate. Make a self-assessment on your strengths and weaknesses and then select a branch. All branches have a minimum difficulty level. Discuss with your teachers also.
