If you get MBBS in the first allotment (as per the 2nd option) you have to pay fee for MBBS. If you get BDS in 2nd allotment (ist option), you need not have to make any remittance since the fee for BDS is less than that of MBBS. The excess amount remitted will be returned to you on closing of admissions. Category list is for identifying the candidates to be allotted to reserved seats. If there are 100 seats reserved for a category for a course, candidates up to position 100 in category list can be assured of a seat. Of these if 20 candidates are likely to get allotment under Merit, then 20 more candidates in the category lsit will have the chance to get allotment under the seats reserved for the category.
In MCI site, KMCT Medical College, Mukkam, Kozhikode, is allowed for inception of 100 seats. But it is not showing in KEAM site. Are they starting this year (2008) ?

When all the documents necessary for allotting the candidates are received by the CEE from various bodies/government, the CEE will invite options. There are other bodies to give sanction after the MCI recommends the starting of MBBS in a college.

The last rank of 2007 is not published. Since you have reservation, you have more chance than a Merit candidate.

Options are to be given based on your priortiy for the colleges. The most preferred college-course as far as ou are concerned should be given priority 1. The next preferred- ie the next prefered in case option 1 is not allotted- should be given preference 2 and so on. This is the criterion to be followed for registering options.
