TCR is preferred to SCT as per last ranks. You cannot compare two branches. If you have inclination for a branch go that way. Both have placements.

Goverment Colleges are under the direct control of the Government and majority of them are exisitng for long. Government supported colleges are not directly controlled by the Government but by autonomous agencies controoled by the Government. Majority of them are not that old as compared to many of the Governmet/Aided Colleges.

As per trends of 2007, you have a chance to get BDS if you nare eligible for it. It need not be in the first allotment. If you get any other allotment in the first round, you have to join that if you want to keep your chance alive in the allotment process.

sir ,
Which stream is good, civil or electical engineering ? Which has more job offers in Kerala and abroad?

Parvathy, all branches -especially the core branches like civil, mechanical and electrical / electronics have enough scope in the employment market. The main thing is your command over english language. So try to enrich it, whatever branch you get for BTech.
