Your son's chance of movement depends on the movement of candidates ahead of your son in rank. Wait for the second allotment. Forestry is the science dealing with the study and management of forests, plantations and related natural resources. Job opportunities are available in Indian Forest Service, forest departments of governments, training institutes and research establishments. Facilities exist for Higher Studies also.

You may carry a copy of the allotment memo that you can take from your home page and also the admit card with you when you go to remit the fee. You need not join now if your allotment is in the engineering category. You need join only after second allotment. Wait for the announcement by the CEE

If you take Computer Science Engg, you can either go for the Software or Hardware field. But those with IT generally becoem software Engineers. But these days, except for Government jobs, there are no strcit rules regarding the Degree. If you are good at the job you can be absorbed in the Software or Hardware field even if you are not an IT/CS Engineer.

You may contact the office of the CEE over the help line numbers available at
www.cee-kerala.org and confirm whether options have been registered. (0471 – 6459802 or 0471 – 6459803). For Management quota seats, the concerned managements have to be contacted.

The amount that you are going to remit, goes to the account of the CEE. If you get a change to a seat with lower fee, the balance amount will be refunded to you from the office of the CEE after closing of admisssions for the year. No request is to be made for that. You will not get the refund from the Bank.

Your chance of getting a change depends on the options of candidates with ranks higher than yours. As long as you are not re-allotted to a higher option in the second round, your first allotment will be safe with you. You will have to continue with that.
