Sir, thank you for your previous reply. This question is regarding Amity University (Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow). Their website says it is recognized by UGC. Does UGC recognition mean that their B.Tech. is approved for admission to higher studies in IIT, NIT, and other universities? Thanks for your usual help.

UGC approved courses are recognised Courses generally approved for Higher Studies. But each Universty also approve the courses of other Universities separately. So you may have to contact the academic section of the University concerned to know whether these courses are approved by it.

This has been answered. Nobody can prevent you from taking a Transfer Certificate if you wish to discontinue a course. But you will have to meet the requirements for discontinuing a course as given in the Prospectus. The TC is issued by the College authorities and not by Kerala University.

in respect of all branches available in both these colleges, seats were first filled under SM at TCR. That speaks to a great extent, the preference of candidates. So if you decide to be at TCR it would be OK. But then there may be other factors also which can affect your decision- like the liking for the subject, college, vicinity of the college, scope for higher studies if interested etc. So examine all these and take a decision. Discuss with your parents. You are at Trivandrum. Go and see the College. Once a decision is taken, beleive that you have taken the best decision and proceed. Do not look back. .

Do not get worried. The admission to Private SF Medical/Dental Colleges is kept in abeyance until furher orders. AS long as the CEE does not grant permission to join, the admission made may not be valid. You can take back the certificates if any given to the college, in due course.
