I got 5815 rank in KEAM engg. entrance. When I go through the last rank details of 2007 (first allotment) there I can see a lot of difference from last rank details of 2008. Why it is so? Could I get admission in MAC kothamagalam for Mech.engg.? I got ezhava quota reservation. Pls give me the answer.

Last ranks of 2007 and 2008 of the first allotment may differ on account of various reasons. The first allotment of 2007 was on September 1 while that of 2008 was on July 17th. The time gap (here about one and a half months) can be a reason.

When allotment gets delayed a number of candidates take admission in colleges outside the purview of the CEE, thereby keeping away from CEE allotment. This can bring down the last ranks. The fee structure .can have impact on the allotments.

In 2007 the fee for the courses were high as compared to those in 2008 in respect of Self financing colleges. Above all the candidates are different. So tastes can differ. To know your chances for allotment, you have to wait till second allotment.

My sons rank in Keral is 5675. We belongs to General category. In 1st allotment he got Chemical in govt. Engg college Calicut. any chance to get mechanical in Rajiv Gandhi Institute or in Addor Engineering college in 2nd/3rd allotment

This cannot be predicted since the chance of re-allotment depends on a number of factors which have been clarified in this portal. you have to wait for some time. Let the second allotment come.

Orders of the High Court have just come in. It may take some time before things become clear. Anyway there is an order of the High Court that the fee in Management seats can be only that fixed by the Fee Regulatory Committee till the agreement is ratified by the Supreme Court. .
My daugher is studying in 10th standard in UAE. When she has to join in Kerala school in order to be considered as Kerala student, not NRI student for professional courses? Is it OK if she joins after finishing here for +2? Whether any difference is there for Government merit seats for NRI students?

As per the clause regarding nativity in Prospectus of 2008, a candidate will be treated as a keralite if he/she was born in kerala or the candidate's father or mother wsa born in Kerala. In all cases necessary proof will have to be produced. If one of these conditions is satisfied, you need not necessarily study in Kerala to get keralite status. Regardijg NRI seats in Self-financing Colleges, it is not based on Entrance. There are no NRI seats in Govt Colleges.
Please tell me if the Global Open University of nagaland is valid for their MPhil course??

Approximately 55 in Govt/Aided Colleges and 10 in Self financing college.
