As per the notification of the CEE classes for MBBS/BDS were to commence on August 1, 2008. Since it was a public holiday, it should commence on Monday, if not informed otherwise by the colleges concerned.

No announcement from CEE office so far.
When will be the engineering (first year) class be started? I heard from my friend it will be on Sep 13. Is it confirmed? Should I go to any computer classes before it? Plzz explain.

The date of commencement of BTech classes has not been announced so far by the CEE. There is nothing wrong in doing some short-term computer course during this gap.
I got allotment for B.Sc.Nursing in Thrissur government medical college.In the prospectus thre ask crtificate for physical fitness.I have reservation by 'person with disability'.there was a medical check up for who come under this section,for determining scale of disability and physical phitness for the applied course. the commity allowed me to join the course,but didn't give any kind of certificate prooving physical fitness other than certificate from district medical board(which was already with me).now,should I submit the certificate as per the prospectus?if yes who can attest it? any physician of our native?

The Prospectus condition is a general clause. Since your allotment is under the PD category, it may not be necessary to submit another certificate. If the college insists, you can submit a copy of the certificate issued by the Medical Board. The medical certifcate can be attested by a Gazetted officer.
In 1st allotment i got adm in IES Engineering college thrissur.I have already paid the fees(Rs.30750). I wanted to know more about the scholarships given in the college & the eligibility required for the same.pls reply...

There is no information on any scholarship given to students in Self financing Engineering Colleges, by the college authorities.

Kindly answer to my following doubts.

1. Is there any other state conducting Medical Entrence examination with out giving negative marks.

2. As of now it seems that the present merit list (2880) is not sufficient to cater the requirement of total MBBS and BDS seats (including management quota) available in the state.

3. In this case can we approach the govt to give mark list with out considering the negativie marks.

4. Is it possibile to seek apex courts help to either give marks list with out taking negative marks in to considertion or doing admission based on Plus Two marks alone.

5. which is the appropriate authority to be approached for this.

1.There are some states/institutes conducting Medical Entrance without negative marking. In Karnataka Entrance, there is no negative marking. Nature of examination also varies from agency to agency. AIPMT Final is of the conventional type. But AIPMT Preliminary which is objective in nature carries negative marks. Tamil Nadu does not have an Entrance.

2. The total number of MBBS/BDS seats in the Medical/Dental Colleges included in the CEE allotment except the NRI seats is around 1900 (minor variations can be there). Candidates with Medical Ranks upto 2880 and those SEBC/SC/ST upto about 5031 are eligible for allotment. In terms of numbers the seats available is less than the number qualified. But since all in the rank list may not take seats, there can be a situation when the number of eligible candidates is not sufficient to fill up the seats. But we have to wait and see what the actual position is, when the process is completed.

3. The rules related to preparation of rank list cannot be altered after the examination.

4. The mode of selection has been prescribed in the Prospectus. This cannot be altered after the examination. But if seats remain even after all the eligible candidates are considred, the possibility of filling up the seats in a different manner can be taken up, it seems.

5. Govt issues Prospectus. CEE conducts the examination as per the provisions of the Prospectus. MCI prescribes the rules of eligibility for MBBS admissions.

If you do not join the college allotted by the CEE after the scond allotment, your allotment will be cancelled. The fee remitted will be returned to you by CEE office on closing of admission for the year.
Can I delete my unwanted options before second allotment? How many higher options can be deleted? Plzzz give me answer.

You can delete your unwanted options before the second allotment when the facility is activated. You can either delete all the remaining options or some of the remaining options. You can also change the order of the remaining options if you want.
