Basically no difference. Minor differences may be there in the syllabus which is there for courses under B.Tech or B.E in different Universities even.Otherwise both are Engineering degrees.

In AIEEE website it is given as follows
'Counselling for supernumerary (shortfall) seats for non-NIT states/UTs

Considering various representations, the MHRD has decided to release supernumerary seats for some non-NIT states/UTs in NITs. The decision has been communicated to the CCB vide Letter No. F 23.12/2008 TS III dt. 19th July, 2008. The counselling for the shortfall seats will be conducted off-campus in the 4th week of August 08. The exact dates, the seat matrix and other details will be declared in the 2nd week of August 08. Please visit the website regularly for updates. '

What this means?. If a candiadate who got allotment and did not join and did not took the refund , will he be considered for this?

The seats sholuld be in NITS as per the information available in the CCB site. It is mainly to cater to the candidates of States/UTs that do not have NITs. The eligibility for attening this counselling is not yet available. It will be available in the second week of August. Anyway, a clear picture will emerge then.

Candidates allotted seats at KEAM and CUSAT or (and) NITs might have joined the colleges as per CUSAT/NIT allotment, if they have received a better allotment than the one received at KEAM. . If so, they will not take the seat allotted by CEE. This can bring some seats to KEAM candidates. But the number is not certain. WE have to wait.
I have applied for BDS seat in Pushpagiri self financing college as per the advertisement by the KCPCMF.As per prospectus and their web site the merilit should come on 25 July. However they have not published the merit list yet.
When I contacted the college they said they will publish the merit list in End Aug and admission will be merely on the basis of Plus two marks because they did not got sufficient number of students from kerala entrence. This is violation of their prospectus. What I do for this. Kindly advise.

If Prospectus conditions are violated you may represent bfore the Admission Supervisory Committee set up by the Government or you can explore about legal remedies.
My brother completed +2 with 58% of mark. Any new course for him to join with this mark? He is a little weak in Maths.

IF he is interested in Subjects other than Maths, decide whether it should be a Science/ Arts/Humnaities subject. For Commerce stream, interest in mathematics is necessary. There are other courses (new generation courses) also. But it is time to take a decision since the admission process in all areas for the year has commecend or in some cases, completed.
