What is the total number of BDS merit seats available for 2nd allotment? I read in your article that 25 seats available in 1 college additionally at this time. What did you mean? Also, I understood that there are 2800 seats has become vacant after first allotment due to non-payment of fee. How many of them are for MBBS/BDS?

One college to whcih options were not invited earlier (in July) has been included in the option registration now. There are 25 seats to be allotted to this college. If you are eligible for MBBS/BDS allotment and have visited your home page, you would have noticed this college code also. It is NID as per the anouncement at the CEE site. Regarding the non-remittance of fee, no official information is available

You may go to http://www.universityofcalicut.info/ first and then to the link 'School of Distance Education' under it. As of now, minimum information is available there since the examination for admission for 2008-09 is over and the results are declared. The notification for 2008-09 admission was issued on 19.5.08 and was published in Mathrubhumi of June 4,2008.
Sir ,
I have a few questions.
1- Are the courses mechanical automobile(MA) and mechanical engineering entirely different ? which has more placements ?
2- I am not interested to go in IT field after engineering . Is it good to go for MA in SCT ,trivandrum rather than to go for ME in a pvt college (SAINTGITS college ) here ?
expecting a reply soon
thanking you.......

Mechanical is a more wider branch as compared to Mechanical Automobile. Demand wise, Mechancial Engg stands above Mechancial Automobile. There can be advantages and disadvantages for both when it comes to jobs but there are opportunities in both fields. The choice between the two depends on your taste and desire since there are candidates who genuinely desire to do Automobile Engg than Genral Mechancial. So decide yourself.
Is there any special benefits if i study in a NBA (AICTE's) accreditted
college?I opt civil branch.

Accreditation is a symbol of quality as assessed by well defined parameters. This may give some backing to complete the course well. But the Degree is awarded by the University concerned and it will not specify whether you did th course in an accredited institute or not. So it may not matter much when it comes to employment or higher studies generally.
Sir,
Thankyou for the previous reply.
sir,I would like to know whether I should produce vaccination certificate at the time of admission to a govt/aided engg college.

Clause 13.4.of the Prosectus says so. Production of a certificate is not specified there. If you decide to take it, get a certificate, keep it with you and produce it when asked for.
sir,pl answer my few doubts.
1.will there be a good chance for higher last ranks in next cap compared to that of 17th considering nonpayment of fee by 2800 pupils &availability of more course/college in med&engg stream in revised option..?.
2. which is better option regarding facilities & placement .....ae in mes, ee in nehru ,ee in awh or ae in ies tcr...???? distance not a problem.
3.which is more scopeful AE OR EE?

Last ranks should come down. Regarding the choice between branches, each one has its importance. All have job avenues. It depends on how you do the course. For grading of colleges, see last ranks and decide.

Very remote chance only. The allotment of 31.8.08 is a new one for Engineering.
Dear sir,
Plz tell me the DOCUMENTS to be taken while depositing the fees at the SBT branch,is it necessary that the student should be present while remitting the fees?

The student need not be present at the Bank. The person who remits the fee should produce the allotment memo, which will be available at the website from the time of allotment. And ask the person to keep the receipt from the bank in tact.
