Dear sir,Thank u very much for the replies of my earlier doubts,.
My daughter has joined for Architecture course in MES kuttippuram. Previously we were alloted in govt.controlled self finance college at calicut university and we have remitted Rs.65000/ as fee.What is the procedure or getting the refund from CEE. The fee at mes is Rs.30750/- we have opted for govt engineering collegs at TVM & TRISSUR AND TKM KOLLAM.Is there any chance for getting higher option in these colleges. the rank of archi is 104.

The excess amount remitted by you will be returned to to your ward, by way of DD/cheque by the office of the CEE on closing of admissions for the year. You may have to wait till November. No request need be made for that. Regarding movement based on higher options, it may be noted that for AR only few seats are ther and so, vacancies will also be few. So nothing can be said about the chances in re-allotments. Be optimistic.

Sir, while taking admission to allotted college, we r asked to pay an amount(around 10000) for PTA,hostel caution and other things..... if i got higher allotment in other college, will this amount refunded ?????

As per rules, all amounts except Admission fee has to be returned. Caution Deposit will definitely be returned. Regarding other fees, colleges take decision on their own. They may deduct some amounts before refunding them stating one reason or the other. But you can request for refund of amounts paid. Some colleges deduct amount proportional to the period spent in the college.
Is there any way to get back the fees paid if no admission is taken for B.tech?

IF you do not take admission, the fact will be reported by the college to the CEE and your admission will be cancelled. Subsequently, the office of the CEE will refund the amount to you on closing of admissions for the year. It may take some time.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) will be of 3 hours duration, usually held in February. Notification can be expected in September. Admission to Post Graduate programmes with MHRD and some other government scholarship/assistantship at Engineering Colleges/Institutes in the country are open to those who qualify through GATE. ion papers will be in English only. Candidates will be required to appear in a single paper. The list of papers for GATE will be given in Brochure. Engineering disciplines as well as science subjects are available. The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

ELIGIBILITY: The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE genearlly:
(i) Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

(ii) Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

(iii) Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master Degree Programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master Degree Programme and Dual Degree Programme in Engineering/Technology.

(iv) Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Nanotechnology is the science of understanding the structure and behaviour of materials at atomic or molecular level and an emerging field across the globe. Graduates in the field can become entrepreneurs or work as management and investment advisers in biotechnology and research and development industry; carry out research and development in Government organisations, universities and private research institutes; join as faculty in educational institutes; do research and consulting in industries like pharmaceutical, medical, agriculture, food and beverage, environmental industries; etc. Diploma holders can also find jobs in pharmaceutical, medical, agriculture, food and beverage, environmental industries.

I am alloted to a private self financing engg. college and i wish to try for higher option in govt. colleges.And if i am not alloted in any college in next allotment, can i continue in the college now i am joining???

The present allotment you have received is a confirmed one. If you get a higher option in the re-allotment you can move to that. If you do not get a re-allotment, the existing allotment can be retained. You will not lose it.

My engineering rank is 2178. I've alloted at SCT, for EC. I've TKM EE as a higher option. What's ur openion which is best TKM EE or SCT EC, while we considering only about the college. Could I expect admission at TKM on next allotment.

EE at TKM is preferred by students over EC at SCT as per last ranks under SM. The last rank for EE under SM in TKM is 2062. Your rank being very close to it, there is good chance for re-allotment, but no guarantee.

You glance through the last ranks under SM. Seats under SM get filled first based on the preference of colleges of students.
I have got a BAMS seat in govt college, Thrippunnithura. I want to get a BDS seat in the next allotment. I wanted to know whether BDS or BAMS is better in terms of job opportunities and in which all ways?

Each stream has its relevance and importance. As per the preference of candidates, BDS is preferred over BAMS generally. Opportunities for Government jobs or private practice is there for BDS as well as BAMS Degree holders. It is your taste that matters.
