Yes. Before the next allotment, you will get the facility to cancel or re-arrange the higher options. Make use of that facility then. If you are satisfied with the present allotment, cancel all the remaining options.

Before each phase of allotment, a time is given to cancel admissions. This is done to take the vacancies arising also in the next allotment. At other times also., a candidate can cancel the admission held as per the rules. Since the admission for the year are not closed, you can send the cancellation request through the Principal of the college you are now studying, to the CEE. Once the CEE permits to cancel the admission, you will get TC without paying liquidated damages since the admissions not closed. You will get back the fee after the closing of admissions, may be in November/December. If you cancel the admission after closing of admissions, you will have to pay liquidated damages. It can be an amount decided by the Management, as per existing conditions. This can be ascertained from the college.

Is there provision for transfer from one engineering college to another in the same university (or another), provided there is a vacancy in the second college after, maybe, the completion of first year?
Hoping for your reply at the earliest..

There is a provision for inter-college or inter-university transfer in the second year subject to availability of vacancy. IF number of applicants are more than the seats available, they will be allotted considering the rank in the entrance. You have to apply when University invites applications may be in May/June/July period. Generally transfer is given only to the same category of colleges.

This may need a clarification from CEE. The last allotment to Govt supported colleges has been announced. There are no more allotments by CEE to Medical Colleges. If the admissions are closed, then liquidated damage will have to be paid. Although Medical admissions close on30th September, it has to be ascertained officially whether the admission has been closed. Contact the CEE office immediately.
