Although knowledge of computers is very essential in all walks of life these days, You must see that the child does not become a computer addict. So ensure that the computer is used for the minimum time at this age and that too under your guidance. Try to convince her of the advantages of using computers from the academic view point. You can expose the immense possibilities with computers. It may not be desirable to use internet at this stage as there is no necessity of exploring study materials at this age. See how the child reacts to your approach.
I'm working as an ASE(Associate Software Engineer) in one of the MNC's in Bangalore. I want to pursue my P.G in MBA(IT)/MCA.Which one is more preferable? Can you suggest some of the good Universitites to study in distance education.

The Work of an MBA holder and that of an MCA holder are totally different. While and MBA works on marketig and Management areas, the MCA works on the technical side generally. So the area to be taken up depends on your preference. There are software Engineers who turn to MBA. So if that is your taste, do that way. Anna University in Tamil Nadu, has distance courses in MBA as well as MCA.

A student who has passed the Class 10 examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or (an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto ) may register for Common Proficiency Test.

A registered student may appear in Common Proficiency Test after he has appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and has complied with such requirements as may be specified by the Council from time to time.

A student who has got himself registered for Common Proficiency Test 60 days prior to the first day of the month in which CPT examination is to be held can appear in the examination i.e. on or before 1st April and 1st October for appearing in CPT examination to be held in June and December respectively. Common Proficiency Test examinations are held in June & December every year.

You need not make any separate request for getting the refund. It will be sent to you as DD/Cheque by the office of the CEE, once the formalities are completed.

It is not possible to pin point one book for your preapration. A number of Books related to such examinations are available in the market.. You will have to go through and identify one among them. Moreover, Regular hard work and preapration is necessary in getting good scores in competitive examinations.
