The student should belong to non-creamy layer as defined by the Department of
Personnel and Training in their Notification No 36012/22/93-Estt. (SCT), dated
08.11.1993 and as modified vide their OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt. (Res) dated
09.03.2004 and as may be further modified from time to time. This is the criterion given in the notification.

One of my friends, who was punished by Calicut University for carrying chit paper in exam hall in 2007 March, remitted the punishment fee. The University has given permission to him for appearing the exam in March/April, 2009. He was enrolled in distance mode of education for BA (History) conducted by University of Calicut for the period 2004-07. Though he passed all the papers in 1st and 2nd year in 2004-05 and 2005-06, he has to appear for the whole three years exam. I shall be grateful if you can tell what will be his syllabus for the three years? Is it the present one or starting from 2004 ?

You have to get this clarified from the academic section of University of Calicut. If the scheme of 2004 continues even now, then he may have to write as per that scheme. But if there is a new scheme in place and the University is not conducting the examination as per the old scheme, he will have to write as per the new scheme. Only the academic section of the University can clarify this.

Our annul incom of my house is less than Rs.30'000.00. Sir am I elegible for any scholarship ?. Please help me. I have no Mother. The Kerala Government Suvarna Jubilee Scholarship for students in First year Degree Course is applicable to BPL candidates. Details are given at http://www.collegiateedu.kerala.gov.in/pdfs/notif22_8_08.pdf . You can try for this once you join degree class after 12th.

You must first pass the examination with a good score to go for higher studies. If you want to continue with Commerece, you can go for M.Com. If you are interested in Management, you can go for MBA.

Following the union govt decision to give scholarships to 82,000 students nationwide, only the CBSE has implemented and notified it . The ICSE/ISE or state boards can also invite applications from their students and implement it. But none except CBSE has bothered about it. Wait, notifications may come. All such notifications will be carried in this portal. So watch the portal.
I would like to study MBA/EMBA distance education either in India or UAE without attending entrance exams. Iam a BCom holder and 15 years experience in management level in UAE. Please let me know the university details, fees etc by return mail.
