As per the rules existing, there should be no problem. But if you decide to join a new college based on it, you may have to pay liquidated damages to the college where you are studying at present.
i am doing btech 3rd year...i want to pursue my higher education from good colleges...i have been in the dillemma of gate /cat / gre....can you help me in this subject regarding the oppertunities and your suggestions with the present financial crisis??

This depends on the course or career you are planning. CAT is an examination that takes you to a different field of study after the engineering course. You go to the Management side with CAT score. But GATE as well as GRE on the other hand is for pursuing higher studies in the area or subject you are handling now. This will keep you in the academic sector. So decide on your future plan of action and then go accordingly. A career in the academic sector or in the research filed is rather a secure one which will not be affected generally by financial crisis as in the case of Management side which can fluctuate depending on various factors.
Sir,Iam presently doing BSc.computer science.i wish to join for MCA.How can i prepare for the entrance without any help of coaching centers? Is there any lateral enty offered ?thank you

For MCA entrance, questions are generally asked from the areas of Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, English, General Knowledge and Computer science. So try to work and practice as many objective questions as possible from these areas at the the under-graduate level. There are some institutes in the country that offer admission to MCA through lateral entry. The scheme has not been introduced in Kerala, it is understood.

You will have to enter the category in the appropriate place in the application form-Item 2. As per the Prospectus, "OBC candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer" will be required to produce the original certificate issued on or after January 1, 2009 by a competent authority in the prescribed format (given in Appendix–I). The certificates must be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will be treated as belonging to the General (GE) category". So the certificate is needed only at the time of counselling.

No holiday has been declared for Friday. The practice of declaring holiday for the demise of former rulers has been stopped some years back. At present only if the sitting rulers die, holidays will be declared.

There are a number of Institutes in the country now offering MBA as well as PGDM. The Management course offered by Universities/Colleges affiliated to a University is known as MBA and those offered by other Institutes are called PGDM. Both are same as far as the qualification is concerned. There are institutes that insist on 50% marks for admission to the Management Course while there are some others that do need only a pass in the Degree Examination. So you will have to identify the Institutes that you can join based on your mark. Admissions are through some entrance like MAT, CAT,XAT, SNAP,JMET etc. Notifications on all these appear in this portal as and when they are announced. There are other entrances also. Keep watching the news items in Press and other media.

Pl. specify the course you want to join. Is it Pilot training or aircraft maintenance? For pilot training, the expense is very much, wherever you study.
My Son is studying in 10th std at Badagara. His school register name is Fahim Ashraf K. K (Ashraf -Father Name) but in his birth certificate, only Fahim K.K. Now, at the time of SSLC exam arrangements, we noticed that his date of birth is slight different in school registers of LP, UP, HS (24th March) than Birth certificate (21st March). Now I need to correct the wrong DOB in coming SSLC Book (he is going to write this time). Please help with your valuable advice.
I came to know that with all relevant documents, if we submit the village officer’s certificate that the FAHIM KK and FAHIM ASHRAF K.K is same person, education department would correct the D.O. Birth. Please advice, is it possible? Or is there any other way? Time is very limited. If you can give a soonest response, it would be highly appreciated.
Ashraf. K.K

The procedure to change the date of birth has to start from the school where the candidate is studying. Since you have not given the SSLC book, it may be easier to do the correction at this stage. Once it is entered in the SSLC, the procedure would take more time. So contact the School authorities immediately.

You need not give any request for refund. Admissions having been closed for the year, you can expect the refund at any time. Since the formalities are to be completed, it may take a few more days to get the refund. It should be reasonable to wait till December end before approching the office of the CEE.
