Yes. New Delhi is an examination centre for KEAM in the last few years. It should be there this time also. So you need not worry about going to Kerala to write the KEAM Entrance. Anyway watch the Notification also.

The details of the Central scholarship for those who passed the State Board Exam from Kerala has not been notified so far although there has been a press release by the PRD Kerala. Details will be announced in due course by the Special Officer of Scholarships, Collegiate Education Department , Kerala. It should come in the site http://www.collegiateedu.kerala.gov.in/ The one you have seen is that of CBSE.
Sir/Madam,
I did my b-tech course under kerala univ from 2001-2005 under 1998 scheme. I still have back papers for i was unable to attend many a exams due to monetary/family reasons. My question is:
Q.1> What is the regulation for b-tech 1998 scheme? B-tech under 1998 scheme should be completed in how many years from date of joining ?
I am unable to find this info anywhere. I had been to b-tech section in palayam campus and the person in charge there told that there is no such limitation and you can take as many years and chances as needed to finish it. But now i came across b-tech 2003 scheme regulation which states you need to finish b-tech within 8 years of joining.
Q.2>Is it applicable for 1998 scheme as well?
Q.3>In that case how many more chances do i have left to complete my course?
Q.4>Can i join back the course by cancelling the course aleady attended ?
I will be grateful to you if you can kindly clarify this for me for i am now currently working in bangalore. Thanking you in advance.

The rules applicable for one scheme need not be applicable to another. It is true that the 2003 scheme has a clause that the maximum period for completing the course is 8 years. If the University authorities have clarified that there is no such provision for the 1998 scheme, you can go by that. If so, there will not be any restriction on the number of chances you can take to comlete the course. But first you have to ascertain whether the 1998 scheme is existing now. This has to be clarified by the Academic section of the University. So enquire if you would be able to attend the exam as per the 1998 scheme itself. Since you have completed the course, it may not be possible to join the course again. But if you have shortage of attendance you may be able to take a re-admission to the course as per University rules. Otherwise, write the examination and complete the course.
Sir ,

To know the approval of a course in Kerala, it is better to ascertain the same from one of the Universities. If one of the Universities in Kerala, approve a course, it is generally approved by the PSC. There are courses approved for higher studies only. If you are going for higher education in a University, that University has to approve your qualifying course. So the approval of a course for higher studies is University dependent. It is better to get an eligibility certificate from one of the Universities.

It would not be possible to do two courses simultaneously. You may think of doing BA in Malayalam, after competing the B.Tech course. Usually the Notification can be had by September-October every year for admission to the distance courses. As per the information at http://www.sdemgu.org /, BA in Malayalam is not offered by MG University through distance mode.
