Under Graduate courses in Nano Technology are not available in the country. Admission to Nanotechnology courses are made after a Basic Degree. So you complete a basic degree and then try to get admission for a nanotechnology course. There is no engineering college offering this course as per information available.

CUSAT Entrance is different from Kerala Entrance. Date for CUSAT Entrance for 2009 has not been announced (Watch http://cusat.nic.in/ ) while that for Kerala Entrance has already been announced. It starts on 20.4.2009. See www.cee-kerala.org .

Change of College within the same University is Inter-College transfer. This can be done after S1S2 (First year) subject to availability of vacancy. University of Calicut will invite applications and then application can be submitted. It is generally based on the rank in the entrance examination based on which admission has been granted. Vacancy position can be ascertained from the College or the University.

You have not mentioned whether you had given options to CMC Cochin under Govt quota and Management quota. There can be candidates who have taken the Management seats in CMC having EZ reservation although it is not considered for Management seats, having lower rank than the rank of your niece.
My brother has passed the SSLC on March 2007. Since the SSLC certificate is having only the grade and not the actual mark, will there be any problem in case he need to graduated within/outside Kerala. Is it possible to get the marks (or marksheet with the actual marks) now in case the university asks for that. Please let me know.

Grading and semester system have been introduced in almost all the countries now. So, naturally there should not be any problem as mentioned by you. If mark is necessary, it is very easy. Take slabs of 9 point average. For eg; A + stands for 90-100 range, 80-89 for A etc. If you have any more doubt, ask.
