The word is misspelt, it is doubted. There is a usage "helm of affairs" which means resposible for the whole affairs. But whelm means overcome, which does not match with rest of the sentence.

If your child satisfies any of the conditions listed below, he can apply under General category as a 'Keralite'. (i) He/She or his/her father/mother was born in Kerala OR (ii) He/She has been a resident of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years OR (iii) He/She has undergone his/her school studies from standards VIII to XII in educational institutions(s) in Kerala. In your case (ii) and (iii) may be out of question, If (i) is satisfied, he can apply.

It has not been announced so far, it is understood.
I qualified NATA last year with 86 marks and I was on the 156th position in the state merit list of architecture entrance-2008.I haven't got admission due to lack of reservation.Now I wish to write NATA again to improve my score.Then which score of NATA will accept for my 2009 admission.

NATA score is valid fro two years. But you can attempt NATA again to better the score. As per the NATA Information Brochure, "NATA can be given as many number of times as desired by the candidate. For every attempt, however, test fees have to be paid afresh in full. The marklist will show the average of marks scored by the candidate in his last attempt and his previous valid score".

AMIE stands for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers. It is an Engineering degree course recognized by all State Governments, Central Govt., UPSC etc as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. The Institution of Engineers (India), prepares the syllabus, conducts examination and issue certificates of AMIE. It is a non-formal mode of study that can be done by anyone satisfying the eligibility conditions which is a recognized 3-year Polytechnic Diploma/equivalent in any branch of engineering (Diploma Stream) or Plus Two/HSC/PDC with Physics, Chemistry& Maths with minimum 45% marks (Non-Diploma Stream). The AMIE syllabus has two parts. Section A and Section B. Those who join for AMIE should first study Section A subjects, and after passing should study Section B. When a student clears all subjects in both sections A and B, A.M.I.E examination is passed Based on ones qualification, the number of subjects to be studied in Section A varies. Normally 6 years are available for clearing Section A subjects and another 6 years for completing Section B. You may contact the local chapter in Kerala convenient ot you to get more details. Since she is completing the Intermediate now, she should have come across many notifications related to admissions to various courses in the past months. She can pursue studies in Engineering, Architecture, Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Para Medical Degree/ Diploma Courses, Fashion Technology, Hospitality Management, Law, Humanities and Social Sciences, Accountancy etc. She can also go for the regular courses or new generation courses in Arts & Science Colleges.
