Please tell me how i can get admission to IIST?I would
like to know if there is any seperate entrance examination
for entrance into IIST..anticipating a quick reply..

IIST Admissions are now based on the Primary/Extended Merit list of IIT JEE. If you are in the Primary list of JEE and you do not get any allotment at IIT, you can apply for admission to IIST. If you have applied for IIT JEE and you get a place in the extended merit list of JEE, you are eligible for admission to IIST. However, you will have to apply/register seperately for being considered for admission as and when IIST announces its admissions. Visit http://www.iist.ac.in/IIST/ for details.

Sir ,
I am a first year engineering student. My date of birth in birth certificate is may 11 and the same in school records ,SSLC,+2 certificates is may 10 . will it be problem in future ? can I correct this ?
Posted by Vishnu M, Ernakulam On 07.04.2009
View Answer
Normally there is no reason for any worry. Your date of birth entered in the SSLC only will be considered for future activities, including higher education and employment purposes. As such needn'y worry about it. If you are very particular that it should be corrected, there are ways, but it involves a lot of formalities.

The recognised courses of the University of Calicut is accessable at the link http://www.universityofcalicut.info/services/start.htm . MG University website is very inactive and does not serve any purpose. For the last three years or more it is under "revamping". Thus befooling the student community , this university does not follow the UGC stipulation of mandatory disclosure norms. Who is to blame ?
