As per teh University website, online registration is open only for regular S4 BTech May 2009. No information about online registration is available in respect of S1S2 combined, which means you will have to go through the conventional method, through the college concerned. Dear Sir,

My daughter is studying for Electronics Diploma course in Govt.Poly Technic,Kannur.After the Diploma I wish to let her do B Tech by Lateral Entry Scheme.I wish to know how many seats are there in total inclluding the self financing colleges in kerala eng.Colleges for lateral entry schemes and what was the last number who got admission in the last rank list in LET exam for B Tech in 2008.

It would be so kind of you if you could give me the update on this matter.

The availability of seats for admisison through Lateral Entry is published only at the time of allotment. Usually it is 10% of the sanctioned intake. It may vary depending on the vacancies exisiting. Last rank details as on 7.8.2008 for Lateral Entry is available at www.dtekerala.gov.in/result/main/lastrank.php.

For commerce stream students, the natural choice would be B.Com and then M.Com, You have B.Com courses with Computer Applications. After your B.Com you can go for M.Com if interested in Higher Studies or else turn to the Management side. You can go for MBA with your B.Com. If continuing in the academic stream, you can take up teaching as a profession after satisfying the necessry requirements. Another area where commerce students pursue their studies is in the filed of Accountancy. You can go for Chartered Accountancy Course/ ICWA Course. If you are interested in Law, you can turn that side. There are other General courses that you can take up after Plus 2. There are integrated courses in some Universities.

Usually Graduates in Architecture (B. Arch) ALONE are eligible for admission to the Masters Degree Course in Architecture (M.Arch). However, for some specializations and M.Planning Courses, BE/B.Tech Civil people are also admitted. See the links http://www.spa.ac.in/ and http://cept.ac.in/ to get some idea about this. The decision to shift to Architecture from Civil depends on your taste. If you feel that you can build up a career on your own, both the fields are ideal. If you are looking for an opening in the Govt sector, a civil engineer may have more openings. So take a decision accordingly.

IT is presumed that you are doing the course at kerala University. For first year students it is the conventional method of registration and not online registration. You may contact the college office for more details.

AME stands for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. It deals with the construction, repair and maintenance of aircraft. Aircraft maintenance engineers are responsible for keeping the aircraft in perfect flying condition. In order to become an aircraft maintenance engineer, one should obtain a licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
