As per 2009 Prospectus, 3 or 4-year Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education is an approved qualifying examination for taking IIT Entrance. Candidates belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their Qualifying Examination. So as of now, you are eligible if you get 60% in 3 year Diploma.

It takes between 3 to 4 weeks. But since the exams are a bit delayed this year, it may be done in a shorter time, it is expected. Anyway, it should take around 20 days since the number of candidates is around 120000 this year.
Sir,
I got full A+ in +2 without the help of any tuitions. But I'm not confident in getting a good rank without any entrance coaching. What should I do ,write KEAM or go to Tamil nadu for engineering admission?

It is true that there is no Entrance in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions and that the admission is based on marks. But you have to first satisfy the 'Nativity' conditions if you have to become eligible for majority of the seats. If not you will be considered only for about 57 seats which are reserved for applicants from outside Tamil Nadu. Go through the Prospectus of Tamil NAdu Professional Course admissions available at http://www.annauniv.edu/tnea2009/.
All these does not prevent you from writing KEAM. You should attend that exam also. Be confident and go ahead.

one more question...
Will it be a bad mark in our career with getting an arrear paper ? ?
Posted by Vinay M, pathanamthitta On 13.05.2009
View Answer
No problem now as you are in the first year only. It may not create any problem if you do not accumulate arrear papers in due course. But try not to have arrear papers in the closing stages of the course as some companies invite only those without arrear papers for their recruitments.

Physics Chemistry and Mathematics come with Computer Science in the Science stream. It is offered at SB HSS Changanassery. Usually the subject combinations of Plus One and availability of the combination in schools will be given in the Prospectus that you will get when you purchase an Application. You can do some search at http://www.hscap.kerala.gov.in/statreport/main/frame.html to get the needed details. Otherwise Purchase an Application from the District you are interested in.
