Thanks for your reply for the CUSAT Btech entrance regarding minus mark. So Sir, what is your opinion? Is it better I answer only questions which I am sure or I may attend doubtful questions as well?

It is safer to answer questions the answer for which you are certain. But it should not be very few. If you have answered majority of questions and you feel that they are all correct, there is no harm in taking a risk to answer a few doubtful ones.
Sir,
Kindly tell me, whether the Thapar University, Patiala - B.Tech through distance mode, is recognised by ugc/dec/aicte and whether its considered as a basic qualification to join recognised PG courses and for govt jobs.
Thank you very much,
Saju

There is some confusion over the approval status of Distance B.Tech Courses. AICTE site gives a link to approved Technical Institutions, at http://www.aicte.ernet.in/ApprovedInstitute.htm which cannot be opened to verify data. UGC site www.ugc.ac.in says Thapar University is approved. The Distance Education council site http://www.dec.ac.in/ says that Thapar University Distance Courses are approved fro 2007-08. If these bodies have approved the courses, it should be an eligibility for PG admisisons. Try to contact the concerned in these agencies to get a clarification.

Since your branch was Comp.Sc and Maths, you might be aquainted with the basics. For the timebeing that is enough. Tell us what is your future plan. Are you planning for Engg course? Did you write entrance exams or going to write it ? Make it clear.
Sir,
I have appeared for class 12(CBSE) exam in science stream(comp. sc. & maths). I have always performed reasonably good in my studies. I am not interested in the regular craze for the engineering or medical streams. So would you please suggest me some other good professional courses that will a decent high level job?

Even after taking engg degree and engg pg you can walk differently from others ie; opt teaching. If you are totally against engg course join for any of the regular degree course, preferably with physics main. Future job openings will be in teaching and telecommunication. Since you are at Iranikulam you can select Christ College Irinjalakuda for it.

Diploma holder in Civil is eligible for lateral entry for B.Tech Civil only. AICTE has a scheme for B.Sc holders for lateral entry to B.Tech courses. It has not been implemented in Kerala. Some colleges in Tamil Nadu have this provision.

Generally it is not possible to do two courses simultaneously. When you join a course you are generally required to give the TC from the Institution last attended. But if any agency does not insisit on this, it may be possible to do more than one course simultaneously. So here it will depend on the admisison rules of Manipal and IGNOU.

We do not have access to your page to know what has happened. If there is a provision to edit the data try to do that and see if it works. The site www.kucc.keralauniversity.edu has an 'Edit Registration' option. You may use this provision. If nothing works, make a visit to the University Computer Centre at the Senate House Campus, Palayam. It is at the northern end of the campus near the Dept of Futures Studies and present your problem to the authorities. OK ?

If she has interest ask her to consider Biotechnology, instead of Microbiology- which also is not bad. If she has good marks and interest in Biology and Chemistry the best option is BT. Apply when Jawaharlal Nehru University invites applications for Combined Biotechnology Entrance. It is for a five year integrated course in the prestigious universities of the country.
