Degrees from approved Universities are valid. But some Universities might not approve it as equivalent to one of their courses. If you want to go for higher studies in such a University for which your dual degree is the eligibility, it may cause problems. Universities in Kerala are yet to start dual degree Programmes it is understood.

For taking up Management Courses, you need a basic degree unless you go for BBA or BBM courses. But majority of the students aspiring for MBA do an undergarduate course in Science/Arts/Commerce as desired by them and then try for MBA. There are the IIMs and so many other institutes for undergoing Management Programmes.

Sir,
Could you please advice me on the trend for Kerala CEE 2008 Engineering ranks versus marks scored for general category. We get to see the closing ranks for various streams and Institutes. I would like to get an idea of how much marks is to be scored for getting a Rank of typically 2000, 4000, 6000 8000.
Thanks

Do not try to perform in the exam based on this calculation. The mark pattern of 2008 need not continue in 2009 since the students taking the exam are totally different. You try to answer maximum questions correctly. After the exam, try to see the rank of 2008 corresponding to your expected mark, if the pattern of 2008 continues in 2009.

It is really nice to see that you have assessed your capabilities at this critical point. It would be difficult to arrive at a decision since you and your parents are not thinking alike. It is always better to move as per your taste. It would be difficult to disappoint your parents also. at the same time. so try to convince them of your limitations in doing the engg course. You can go for B.Sc in Chemistry. That would be the first choice if interested in Chemistry. There are also courses in Bio Chemistry and related subjects.
