This depends on the college you are seeking admisison to. For example, if you are seeking admission under NRI quota at NIT Calicut, you need to have appeared for AIEEE 2009 and got the academic eligibility satisfied as per the AIEEE Prospectus. The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE 2009 is a pass in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent with Physics & Mathematics and one of Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology

"A candidate who has passed Class X or XII examination of the Board may re-appear for improvement of performance in one or more subjects in the main examination in the succeeding year only. The candidate may appear privately, those re-appearing for whole examination can also appear as regular candidate if admitted by the school. For subjects involving practical work, if the candidate has passed the practical examination, he or she will be allowed to appear only in theory part. Only a statement of marks is issued by the Board after the improvement of performance." This is the provsion.

As per the information we have, the code for Elec. & Commn Engg is 'T'. This code comes under 'MNHTAB'. So your exam should be on the date when it is for this group. Do not take this as final. You should ascetain the date from official sources, from the College where you are studying or from the University.

BA English Language and Literature would be a good choice if not interested in Science. If she has the desire, Civil services would be a good choice, for which she should start preparations right from now. She should be having good reading habit basically. She can engage herself in activities of the ational Service Scheme at the College.
