Biochemists work in many walks of life - in industry, hospitals, agriculture, research institutes, education and associated areas. There are many areas of everyday life as diverse as medical products and diagnostics, new food and its safety, crop improvement, cosmetics and forensic science that owe their development or even existence to biochemists. There are also opportunities for more advanced teaching, usually associated with research, in universities and colleges, and medical, dental and veterinary schools.
I want to apply in polytechniques in kerala.Is one application form is sufficient.Give me explanation.

first of all let me congratulate you for keeping such a beautiful website. I am from a financially backward family.I had completed my +2 wit 83% ,after +2 i decided 2 go 4 B.Tech.Unfortunately i failed to appear entrance exam well.And right now i doing my B.Sc computer science,and i wud like 2 build a career equalent 2 an engineer..And i think i must go for my PG like MCA or MBA,but here my problem is to select whether MCA or MBA... i am gud in maths and crazy wt computers.. I think u can help me to decide whether MBA or MCA... and also i want to knw abt varius entrance examinations and centres for this courses....

Thanks for the words of appreciation. We hope we continue to live up to your expectations!. Your affinity towards computers will certainly be helpful to you whether you choose to go for MCA or MBA. But the basic issue here is whether you have an aptitude for Mangement education or computer education. If you feel that you would make a good Management Exectuive, go for MBA. If you feel you can do better with your MCA Degree as compared to that with an MBA, you choose MCA. Irrespective of the course, you can do well if you have the calibre. Wish you good luck!
My nephew has just compeleted plus 2. He is interested in B Tech Marine Engineering. where it is availahle? Is the degree awarded by Y B Chavan open university is recogniesed? Pl advise me.

Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) does have this course. But the entrance for this CAT is already over two days back. YB Chavan Open University is a recognised one.

Sir,
I have completed B.Sc Hospitality and Tourism from Sikkim Manipal University in July 2008 (2005-2008 academic year) through distance education.The university is approved by UGC.From the Distance Education Council's website I came to know that University got approval from DEC.It got a post facto recognition shown 2007 and also provisional recognition 2007-2008.So my question is whether my course is having approval of DEC.Whether am eligible for government jobs.

If the DEC and UGC approve it, it should have the approval of other universities. But for matters connected with universities, like higher education and employment there , their decision will be final. If University of Kerala does not approve this course you can neither apply for a job there nor apply for another course. In that case you will have to apply seperately and the academic council will have to take the decision.
