As Per the MARKS OF CANDIDATES ALLOTED TO MBBS COURSE IN VARIOUS COLLEGES‐ 2008:-
In Pariyaram Medical College the position was as follows:-
66 180763 SOORAJ S KUTTAN 506 2465 --- KNM.
Kindly confirm that the individual with rank No 2465 and mark 506 is General or other category so that we can hope for a seat in Govt. Controlled Medical college in case of wide variation in rank as compared to 2008 for the mark 655( for Gen) this year!.

From a glance through the last ranks for MBBS in 2008 given at http://www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/allt/round4mmmd/last_rank_270908.pdf, it can be seen that last rank under Management quota for MBBS at KNM is 2774. So admission of Rank 2465 must be in Management quota which does not take any Reservation into consideration. Electronics and Communication Engg is the branch that deals with the elements of electronic components and circuits, solid state devices, network theory, communication engineering, telephone and fax, pulse circuits, linear integrated circuits, digital electronics, VLSI, computer organisation and architecture, control and guidance, microprocessor based system design, radio and television engineering, electronic instrumentation, microwave integrated circuits, optical communication, radar and navigation aids, process instrumentation, and consumer electronics. Electrical & Electronics Engineering stresses on electrical engineering – generation, transmission, distribution, and utilisation of electrical power. It is the branch of engineering that deals with the technology of electricity, especially the design and application of circuitry and equipment for power generation and distribution, machine control, and communications. There is no problem in getting jobs if you are employable after the course. You can get jobs in Govt as well as in private sector. There is no clear evidence to conclude that the demand for EC branch is coming down.

In 2008, the medical rank corresponding to a mark of 723 was around 325. It need not happen like that this time.

It was around 11050 in 2008 for mark of 176 in Engg. It need not be this rank this year for this mark.

B.Tech in Bioinformatics is offered at Amity University, Amity Campus, Sector 44, Noida- 201303. See http://www.amity.edu/aib/programs/graduate/btech_bioinfo/b_bioinfo.asp It is also offered at VIT Vellore. See http://www.vit.ac.in/sbcbe/bt_academicprogrammes.asp AIEEE based admission is available in Kerala for Biotechnology at NIT Calicut. As per the AIPMT Final Result 2009,my AIR is 1510 and my category rank is 1492. Though I belong to OBC inadvertently I marked Unreserved in the application form and I was treated as General category.What shall I do Sir?What is my prospect of getting a seat in Kerala?Kindly help me.

It may not be possible to change the category at this stage. You have reasonably good rank. In 2008, as per the information available at http://mohfw.nic.in/medical_counselling.html, candidate with rank up to UR 2283 got MBBS in Govt Medical Colleges in Kerala in the 2nd round allotment. However, the position can be different this year.

In 2008 mark of 176 for Engg entrance got a rank around 11100. The positions need not be the same this year.
sir,my calculated mark as per the answer key of KEAM medical is 630...what will b my rank as per the usual trend? is it enough to get admission for MBBS in govt college in alappuzha?

Medical rank for a mark of 630 in 2008 was around 955. It need not be the same this year. Last year the last candidate who got MBBS in Govt Medical College under SM had rank 537. Candidates up to Medical rank 1070 got MBBS in Govt seat in private SF Colleges in 2008. The position this year cannot be predicted now.
