We do not have any information on that. If the papers were more tough as compared to 2008, the mark range would come down marginally, it is expected.
Dear Sir,
Thanks a ton for your reply. My All India Medical results are as follows:
All India Rank: 2589
I belong to OBC,
Category Rank: 2541(OBC -723)
What does the category rank of 2541 mean?(I just know that I'm 723rd among all the OBC students).
Also I'm expecting around 879 marks in Kerala Medical Entrance Exam.Sir,Could you tell me what exactly are the differences if I join through All India Quota or if I join through my kerala entrance rank?.Even though a candidate of rank 2567 could only make it to the kerala medical colleges last year,Dont I have a chance as there was no OBC Quota last year?

The category rank gives the postion you have among the Unreserved category. That is your Unreserved category rank would be UR-2541. There is no difference whether you get in through AIQ or state admissions. But if you have a chance to get in AIQ it is desirable to take it since you would be giving chance to another person from the state to get MBBS in the state allotment. But the final decision is yours. OBC seats are limited under All India quota as it is implemented only in Central Institutions.
upto what rank in medical entrance(kerala)can we expect a seat for B. Pha. in any governmennt or self-financing colleges?
waiting for your early reply.
Thank you.

This year, B.Pharm admission is based on the qualifying marks and not based on Entrance as was done in 2008. Since this is being done for the first time, there is no past data available for making an assessment. You may apply for B.Pharm admission now, if you have not. Details are available at http://lbscentre.org/

DME Kerala has invited applications for admission to B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc MLT/BPT and B.Pharm courses that have been removed from the purview of the Entrance Examinations, Kerala. Admission to Govt Nursing Colleges is also included in this. Last date for applying is 20th June 2009 and LBS Centre is doing the allotment. The application you have submitted to CEE for KEAM will not be considered for admission to these courses. You have to give seperate application. Visit http://59.162.86.60/lbsbed/index.html for details.

CBSE Rules are as follows: "A candidate failing in one of the five subjects of external examination shall be placed in compartment in that subject provided he/she qualifies in all the subjects of internal assessment". This should mean that candidates failing in more than one subject is not placed in Compartment. You can contact the school where the child did the qualifying course, to get details and also instructions on further course of action to attend the next exam. .
