Last ranks of previous year are taken usually as a criterion to give an answer to question of this type. But in the case of CUSAT, two problems arise. One is the non availability of last ranks of previous years. The second thing is the modifications made in the pattern of examination this year. Till last year CUSAT CAT was held on all India basis and admission given accordingly. But this time the university has decided to set apart 50pc free seats to Kerala students and the rest for all India level admission. In such a situation there may be wide differences in the ranks and admission given. Since it is announced that this time councelling is via online let us hope that from this year onwards last ranks would be made available.

EC branch covers the elements of electronic components and circuits, solid state devices, network theory, communication engineering, telephone and fax, pulse circuits, linear integrated circuits, digital electronics, VLSI, computer organisation and architecture, control and guidance, microprocessor based system design, radio and television engineering, electronic instrumentation, microwave integrated circuits, optical communication, radar and navigation aids, process instrumentation, and consumer electronics etc. Job opportunities are available in various industries where electronic devices are used like in Radio broadcasting and televising units, telephone exchanges, manufacture of electronic equipment, telephone departments and companies, computerised organisations, computer hardware, entertainment industry, satellite communication facilities, and research & development etc. Every Engineering branch has some difficulty level with 50 to 55 papers to be taken in a span of 4 years. EC is preferred by all categories of students because of its importance in day to day life. Natural choice of the brightest lot continues to be Electronics & Communication branch unless there is some specific interest for other branches. This can be verified by going through the last ranks in all college. So go ahead if you have the determination.

I have finished +2 this year and i have written Kerala Engineering Entrance this year. When i checked the answer key published by CEE, i have scored 213 marks. Can you tell me my expected rank in the exam?

In 2008 mark of 213 for Engg had a rank around 7550. It need not be the same this year.
Sir ,may i get the last rank details of CUSAT ,Kerala engineering allotment 2008? is there any increase in number of seats this year?

Last ranks of CUSAT allotments are not officially publsihed. Last ranks of KEAM can be had at www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/allt/round2/last_rank_P2_310808.pdf and www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/allt/FinalPhase/lrank_221008.pdf The availability of seats this year will be finalised only before the allotments commence. So wait for some time.

My AIPMT rank is 1028 and unreserved rank is 1017.Is there a chance for me to get MBBS seat with first preference in Kerala, second in Tamil nadu and Karnataka?
Is there a difference in fee structure in different states?

In 2008, candidate with rank UR-1136 got MBBS under AIQ at TCR and with UR-1190 at Aleppey in first round. If all seats in Kerala are filled up at the time of your allotment, you can choose a seat in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka if available, join the college and participate in the second round and try a re-allotment to Kerala. The fee for MBBS in a state is fixed by the Government of that state.So there can be difference in fee from state to state.
my mark of kerala medical entrance 2009 is 615.can i get a admission in any government medical college in kerala?

In 2008, rank for a mark of 615 for Medical was 1072. In 2008, last allotment under SM in Govt quota in SF College for MBBS was to rank 1070. The position ned not be the same this year.
can i give an admisson in cusat..(my rank is 1985 in ETB AND 17293 in general) ?

There is no official data on the admissions of 2008 to give an answer. CUSAT has not officially puiblished the last ranks of 2008 admisisons. Anyway take part in the seat allotment to keep alive your chances.
I HAVE GOT 188 MARKS IN KERALA ENGINEERING 2009. WHAT WILL BE THE RANK EXPECTED TO ME.

The rank corresponding to Engg mark of 188 in 2008 was around 9800. This need not happen this year as such.

It has not come officially in the website www.cusat.nic.in
Sir, i got 3573 rank in general and 26 th rank in BGN category in CUSAT ENTRANCE. Can i get electronics and coommn at main campus?
what about other choices?
