In 2008 mark of 581 for Medical got a rank around 1450. Sir, I'm a studied who is expecting 610 marks in kerala medical entrance exam though i maay have an option to go for BDS i dont think it is for me so what are my other options and its career aspects. Iwold really appreciate it if you would give me a detailed review.

Why do you think that BDS in not a good option? Every course has its relevance and career options and so does BDS. You can go for PG after completing BDS. You can do your own practice or get into private or government service. So if you get a chance to do BDS you should definitely take it up. Then there are other options in the medical field like B.VSc & AH, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, B.Sc Agriculture etc coming under the purview of CEE allotments. Or else you can go for the usual B.Sc Courses like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology etc, go for higher studies, Research if you are interested in it et.c Then there are the new generation courses like Microbilogy, Industrial Microbiology etc. whihc are more research oriented. So options are many from which you have to choose the one that you feel will suit you.

This year's fee structure is yet to be determined . It is usually decided after the discussions between Govt and Management representatives. Let us wait for that.

The closing ranks of 2008 admissions at NIT Calicut for various branches in different categories is given at http://aieee.nic.in/ccb2009/ORCR09/Engineering/Eng/NCAOrCr.htm. Please go through that to make an assessment of your chances as per trends of 2008.

A Mark of 32 for Engg had a rank around 61100 last year. You have to wait till the declaration of results to know the postion for this year for this mark.

i would like to know whether i would get admission for btech in EEE/EC course in a reputed institution in banglore.i have scored 78 out of 180 in comedk 2009.

i would also like to know whether can i rely on mock councelling available on internet.

No information is available on the last ranks of COMEDK to make an assessment of the chances. Mock counselling results need not turn out as such in the actual allotment since it is based on the number of candidates who register options till a particular time point. If the number of candidates change or if the priorities change, the output will also be different. But mock counselling is definitely indicative and will give a feel of the chances of allotment
