Chemical engineers get placements in chemical process and petrochemical industries, pharmaceuticals; health care; pulp and paper; food-processing; polymers; biotechnology; and environmental health and safety sectors. Fertilizer plants, petroleum refineries, plastic and yarn manufacturing companies, food and mineral processing industries also offer jobs to Chemical Engineers. So make an asessment of the scope of Chemical Engg. But opportunities may not be that large as in IT industry.

If you are refering to admissions based on AIEEE, only NIT Calicut admits students based on AIEEE in Kerala. Regarding AIPMT, you can join Medical/Dental Colleges in Kerala if you get allotment under 15% All India Quota. About your eligibility for Kerala Entrance and admission, it depends on your nativity. As per rule exisitng, if you or your wife or your child was born in Kerala, your child is eligible for Keralite status on submitting proof as required in Propectus. If so your child will be eligible for state merit quota also.
