Please see the last ranks of 2008 admissions at http://www.mb4education.com/static/downloads/LROCT2208.pdf in this portal. Remember that Nursing, MLT and BPT are not included in this years process.

In 2008, the last candidate allotted Naval Architecture under General category had rank 55. Anyway attend the seat allotment process and try your chances. Last ranks of 2008 are given at http://www.mb4education.com/static/downloads/CusatLR_2008.pdf in this portal

Data on admissions of previous years are not made available by ICAR. So it is difficult to make any assessment of the chances. You have to attend the allotment and see the chances. OK.

If in Kerala, you will have to satisfy the academic eligibility as in Prospectus of KEAM 50% in Maths is necessary. Application has to be submitted as and when it is invited by the concerned colleges. Watch the announcements.

My all India rank in UR category is 2829.Please could u tell me what are my chances of getting admission for MBBS in kerala?
I expect to get 598 marks in kerala medical entrance exam.What could be my rank based on last year's analysis?

As per information available, In 2008, last rank that got allotment in Kerala under AIQ for MBBS in UR category had rank UR 2567, in the extended second round. However, UR3541 got BDS in Kerala. It may not be same in 2009. Medical rank was around 1250 in 2008 for mark 598 at KEAM. It need not be same in 2009.

There is no official ranking as desired. But the last ranks of admission every year points to the preferences of students which turns out to be indicator of the better colleges from studnet point. So go through the last ranks of 2008 at http://www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/allt/FinalPhase/lrank_221008.pdf and you can identify the most prefereed colleges.

Engg rank was around 4260 for a mark of 269 in 2008. It need not be same in 2009.

There is no branch named as Computer & Elctronics

Mechanical Engineers can find careers in design and manufacturing of mechanical products, such as cars, planes or refrigerators. Openings exists in the sectors of power generation, automobile and machine tools. Mechanical Engineers can either get into the Research and Development (R & D) division or into the Design and Production divisions. They can work in production operations, maintenance or technical sales as administrators or managers. IT industry also provides great number of employment opportunities for Mechanical Engineers. Mechanical engineers are also involved in the computer industry, in the manufacture of various components of a computer. The scope for mechanical engineers in manufacturing will increase as the demand for improved machinery and machine tools grow. This will also occur when the industrial machinery and processes become increasingly complex.
Electronics Engineers have opportunities in Government and private companies. They include the areas related to installation, operation and maintenance of electronics equipments and systems. Electronics engineers have openings in areas like Defence, space and other large research organisations who employ them for the design and development of complex devices and systems for signal processing and telecommunication. Industries involved in design and fabrication of devices, integrated circuits, embedded systems, electronic equipments etc also provide large scale placements for engineers with this specialization. Installation and maintenance of electronic equipments used for health care in hospitals, equipments & systems for instrumentation and control in process industries automation systems of assembly line in production industries, etc are also handled by electronics engineers. They have openings in the IT field. Knowledge of computer hardware, networking equipments and communication systems is an advantage for Electronics Engineers for openings in the IT sector. These days a large number of Electronics Engineers work as software professionals in IT companies.

You cannot compare the two and say which is better. It depends on your taste.
