Your General rank will not change but there will be a category position for you among all the BH candidates included in the rank list which will be a number below your general rank. Last year, candidates with rank up to 12613 got allotment under BH category for ME in one of the Government /Aided Colleges. The fee in Govt College and Aided College are the same.

You first identify the course you want to take up based on on your taste. There are a number of branches in Engg. Go through the last ranks of 2008 allotments, whihc is available in this portal or at the CEE website www.cee-kerala.org. Assess the chances you have for allotment. Take part in the Centralised allotment process as and when it is announced.
