Sir,
Kindly note that my nephew got AIPMT UR Rank 2330 also OBC Rank 650.
What they mean by OBC RANK 650 ?
As they clearly mentioned that OBC
counseling is only as per the UR catagory rank only.
Then OBC rank is for what ?
And also in their 1st round of UG
Counseling dd.12 & 13 - they gave selection to OBC candidates upto rank - 57. After that (upto dd.18th)
there is no OBC rank admissions.
Why they stoped after OBC rank 57 ?
And one more question, Incase if we
got ALL INDIA MEDICAL ADMISION in other states (other than Kerala) and later we got admission in Kearla Gov.Med.College through KEAM 2009 (RANK is 1036 - OBC-EZ)
How can we cancell the AIPMT
Admission ?
Are they ready to give us our original
documents back ? What are the
formalities ? or
KEAM 2009 required only the AIPMT admission card first and later only
need to produce them the original
documents ?
Pls give us your valuable detailed informations.
Thanking you inadvance for your kindness.
Best regards,
Sajeev

OBC rank is the position that one has among all the OBCs included in the rank list based on the rank. There are candidates eligible for UR seats as well as seats reserved for OBCs. When a candidate comes for seat allotment, if an UR seat is available he/she can choose that if desired. Or if the candidate finds a seat for OBC available then, which is more desirable, that can be chosen. OBC seats might have exhausted with the allotment to OBC 57. OBC seats are not available in all institutions but only in central institutions. Obtaining TC from the Institution one joins based on AIQ allotment will be governed by the rules and regulations of that instution. There should not be any problem for obtaining TC if you do not wish to continue a course. All certificates have to be returned with the TC. Anyway enquire on this at the Isntitution concerned. For KEAM, documents are to be produced at the Institution at the time of joining the course only.

In 2008, the last rank allotted for MBBS in Govt Medical Colleges under SM was 537. Canddiates upto rank 802 got MBBS under MU reservation in this category of colleges. But the last ranks of 2008 shows that the last allotment under MU at Kozhikode was 409 and last SM rank there was 345.
See the link www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/allt/round4mmmd/last_rank_270908.pdf You can give options to all colleges of your choice and all your reservation benefits ill be reckoned during allotment.

Approvals of courses may vary from University to University. All courses of one University need not be approved by all other Universities. Morevover, the number of courses now being offered by various Univerities are on the rise. Courses may be approved for employment purpose or for higher studies or for both. So it is better to approach the University concerned and ascertain the recognition of the course you wish to do. This can be ascertained from the academic section of the University.
