Date for commencement of CAP has not been announced so far. Keep watching this portal and also www.cee-kerala.org. Last ranks of 2008 are given at http://www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/LRANK_2008A.pdf You can get a picture of last allotments in various colleges during 2008.

Every living thing, carries a genetic code, or “blueprint”, that determines precisely what traits it will have. Biotechnology is a science that enables us to find the beneficial traits, in terms of added nutrition, increased flavour, or greater ability to fight pests or diseases, and incorporate them into various organisms. Biotechnology is able to isolate a particular gene (or trait) in one organism, remove it, and then transfer it to another organism, where this same gene replicates itself, creating a stronger and more resilient strain of the same substance ( Dr.J.Jayaprakash). In the present day world it has vast scope, since we have many challenges before us, so far as health is concerned. Take a small example of dog biting. Till now no cure has been discovered for the treatment of rabies and AIDS like many other diseases. This is a challenge for the young biotechs.Qualified biotechnologists are employed in leading Indian business houses and pharmaceutical companies, chemical industries, bioprocessing industries, agriculture related industries and pollution control activities of the major industries etc. They can even join government and corporate-run research and development organizations.

Please go through the last ranks of 2008 and see the postion based on the general rank. You will get an idea of the happenings in 2008.

This can be said only when the actaul allotment list is published. No one can predict such things. In 2008, the first allotment was on 17.7.08 and the last ranks then were as given at http://www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/allt/170708/lrank.pdf
sir, i got 1510 medical rank.
my rank in BH category list is 105 . is there any chance for getting mbbs atleast in GOVT SEATS IN private medical colleges.

Non one can say whether you will get a seat or not. Last year the last allotment under BH for MBBS in Priavte SF College went to rank 1683.

The details of the procedure for registration of options will be carried in this portal at the time it is announced. See that then. It is not a very difficutl task. Need not worry over it. In 2008, candidates with rank up to 1169 got a Govt seat under SM for MBBS in Private SF Medical Colleges.
