Candidates beloning to SC Cateogry need only a pass mark in the qualifying examination for admission to Engg Courses. So you should not have any problem. See Clause 6.24. of the Prospectus of KEAM 2009

Civil engineering has comparatively good demand this year especially because of the downtrend of IT and CS. More over it is a core branch which will have demand always.

sir my sister got keam med-rank-869.if she get a seat in self financing college govt seat on first allotment,and later she get seat in govt medical college on last alltment,(suppose)do we get the fees refund from self financing med- colleges?i heard, they ask students to pay all 5 year fees to get their certificate back.is this true?please answer me atleast this time.thanks

This is not yet finalised. It is expected that the agreement will be signed on Wednesday, though not sure.

Why did you join Amrita when you have good chances in govt seats . We cannot give you a rating since this is not purely for marketing.

As on 22.10.2008 the rank of the last allotted candidate for CE in NSS was 6143 and that of EE 4183. This year demand for civil may go up due to the downtrend of IT and CS. Being a core branch civil will have demand always. Give options when it begins and wait. Wish you all luck.
