Sir,
my KEAM med rank is 659,will i get in CMC,COCHIN or pariyaram med college for MBBS.
my all india rank is UR-2003(AIR-2029)will i get for MBBS in kerala or coimbatore.otherwise please specify the colleges in TN where i have a chance.My qns have not been answered so far so please do give me an answer.

Admission patters of previous years cannot be taken for granted for the subsequent years. They serve only to give an overall picture of the situation. In 2008. last allotment under SM for MBBS in CMC under Govt quota went to rank 692. It can be different this year. Anyway, register options in the allotment and see how the allotment comes. Regarding the AIQ allotment, you must be attending the next round of allotment in July. The vacancy position for MBBS at the end of Round 1 is given at http://www.mohfw.nic.in/20062009vp_mbbs.htm According to this, there are over 108 vacancies in various Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu already.

ansThe agreement between private self financing colleges and the govt on fees in these colleges is expected to be signed by Wednesday ( July 1) only. As per the available information the fees for merit seats in private SF colleges this year would be Rs 35,000/- per year.

SCT is a self financing engg college under govt, and not a private one as already mentioned in the previous answer. Last year the fee for merit seats in such colleges was Rs 6200/- per year. This year the decision is yet to come.

Though it is not so simple to get an admission, the possibility cannot be ruled out. Go through the last ranks of last year given in this portal and assess the possibilities. Give options when option regn begins. Good Luck.

Job opportunities are there for chemical engineers . Manufacturing industries and pharmaceuticals provide the best opportunities for chemical engineers. In the government sector, chemical engineers are employed to solve environmental problems such as waste and water treatment, environmental regulations and recycling; on energy sector such as energy conservation and research on alternate energy sources and health-related research projects, defense establishments and atomic power plants.

Other work areas of chemical engineers include food processing, coal preparation and mineral processing, explosives manufacturing, chemical process industries such as fertiliser industry, including pesticides and herbicides, caustic soda, glass and specialty chemicals, dyes and dyestuff, paint, lubricants, steel and aluminum production. They are also employed in a variety of manufacturing industries other than chemical manufacturing, such as those producing electronics, photographic equipment, clothing, pulp and paper and even in the development of aircrafts.

Above all , till recently chemical engineers were selected for IT jobs also. Now ,you know the IT field is dim and so the demand is less.

There are only two colleges under CUSAT. As per student preference, the Trikkarkkara campus is more in demand.
