In govt controlled self financing colleges the fees is same as that of govt college fees. Last year's last rank in CS was 11540 in these colleges . So defenitely you can reason to expect a seat in that fees, provided you carefully give options when online option registration begins. Good Luck.

Nikhil, what is the purpose of asking the scope of different engg branches one by one, instead of knowing for one or two ? Here we have a large number of questions to answer daily which require attention. So pl. avoid asking these type of questions continuously.

As per Clause 7.8 (a) of the Prospectus of KEAM 2009, "Documents or Certificates furnished after the submission of the Application will not be entertained under any circumstances". So if the claim has been rejected for want of supporting documents, it may not be reconsidered. Reservation calims are considered at the time of allotment and not at the time of admissions in KEAM. Anyway you should register options when announced and take part in the allotment process. You will get the claims of a general candidate anyway.

If you are interested in Colleges in Trissur only, you may register options to such colleges during CAP 2009 and see the outcome. You can refer to the Prospectus for Colleges in Trissur. The last ranks of 2008 are given at www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/LRANK_2008A.pdf

Even before joining a course pl. dont ask about a situation after four years. Who can predict it ? Normally EC is a branch having good scope. Even now, in this period of global economic crisis, EC has scope in public sector telecom and such related areas. If you have interest in EC go ahead. Don't think about a situation after four years. Be optimistic. Best of Luck.

The published one is only a trial list. There can be wide difference between this and the final allotment. Even after first allotment many seats may remain vacant. Don't get upset. Wish you all the best .
