Electronics and Communication Engineering deals with the principles of electronics, design etc. It discusses the elements of electronic components and circuits.The Communication part deals with Analog and Digital communication (AM/FM in Radio), Television, Transmission of signals through telephones, network etc. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the branch which deals with production, distribution, maintenance of power. This includes the study of machines and components involved in the above. Electrical machines are controlled and monitored by electronic devices. So this branch includes topics in electronics also.

It has not been announced so far. But it is expected that it would be more than two. Last year, there were 4 allotments for Engg.

No option that was available for the first round can be added now after the first allotment. So if the Management option you are refering to was available in the first round, you will not be able to add that to your options list now.

I have not kept any options for computer science.Is it possible for me to enter this new option in govt controlled self financing colleges? Please reply soon.

The approximate seats in Govt/AIded Colleges: CE-692, ME- 771, EC-710, EE- 750, CS- 560, IT- 180, CH- 150, AE- 120, AR-100, IC-60, IE- 30, MP- 30.

It is a good course provided you have the interest in it. With more importance given to Health Care, the need of qualified personnel in Pharamcy Industry is high.

I have got admission for EI in the first allotment. This option was my 24th option in my option list. If I want to take this option and don't want to go for the second allotment, should I cancel the higher options in the list ? If I am given another allotment in the second allotment, is it mandatory to take that seat or can I choose the course alloted in the first allotment. When the options can be given for the second allotment ?

If you want to continue with the allotment received now in the first round and don't want to go for the second allotment, you should cancel all the higher options in the list when the facility is activated before the second allotment. If you do not do so, and if you get a change in the second allotment, you have to accept it. Your first allotment will not be retained.
My son has rank 21085 in CEE kerala. he belongs to the Ezhava Category. What is chance to get an allotment in automobile engineering or Mechanical engineering in Pvt Self financing college, in the second allotment.

Last allotment rank for AU and ME under EZ category in Private SF Colleges as per the first allotment are 18513 and 17276 respectively. No one can predict the chances. Wait for the second allotment.
